LULU Breed: longhair chihuahuha Age: 9 years Weight: 12 pounds Adoption Fee: $325 Vetting Status: spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, dewormed, heartworm negative and maintained on preventatives ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ LULU is an energetic 9-year-old chihuahua mix who loves lounging with her people, when not busy securing her territory from intruders like those evil squirrels or dumb birds. If you’re looking for a dog that will be your constant companion, Lulu is the dog for you. She loves spending time with you, either at your feet or on your lap. She tolerates other dogs & even the occasional cat, but would rather be your only dog. Lap time & cuddles are a must. Large dogs or small humans are bleh & to be barked at until they go away. She is housetrained & OK on a leash, so an apartment would be acceptable to Lulu.... though she may make you carry her up any stairs (doesn't every princess?). If you think LULU is the dog for you, please fill out an adoption application today! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ LULU is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore. An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link -- https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt. The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PLEASE NOTE ~ All of our rescue members are volunteers with many obligations. While we may not be capable of immediate response, we will respond to all inquiries and application submissions as soon as possible. Thank you for thinking adoption!

Adopted him over a year ago but our family has grown and he is quite the chatterbox. I don’t have the time to care for him the way he needs and he only likes me in the house. He’s a sweet dog who loves cuddles and watching Korean dramas.

Story
This is Buddy, and he can't wait to be yours! Buddy is a sweet young Chihuahua mix that started life off as a feral, until he was caught by a sweet and loving foster. Buddy got the good life after that! Spoiled with treats and given so much love he's developed into a great dog. He's a very friendly boy and does great with pretty much everyone. He would do best in a household with an active family. Buddy does tend to bark at smaller animals so he would do best in a household that doesn't have farm animals or other small pets. Dogs and cats he is fine with, though he has not had much experience with cats. Buddy would do well paired with another calm and confident dog. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

TEXAS ADOPTION ONLY I.am.LEGGO!! No, not the kind you step on in the middle of the night with many expletives!! I am the GOOD kind of Leggo :) No foot pain, all love and cuddles! I am a great boy, I came from a sad situation and I am so so glad my "mom" saved me! I was left at my foster home's gate in my crate, after her neighbor fled her abusive marriage. Apparently all of my friends (4 other dogs) were killed by the abusive husband :( and I was saved..... So, let me tell you.. I LOVE my FOSTER MOM and her DOGS and KITTIES!! And GLORY is my FAVORITE friend! We are kind of bonded and we want to be adopted into a non abusive home with a really really nice family! Glory came from a neglectful situation so she loves having me around to play with and to cuddle with and I give her confidence that she needs. We are an adorable couple and we are ready for YOU! So PLEASE adopt us!! Local adoption- together- is $400 (in TX)

Story
Maximus is a sweet loving chihuahua mix breed. We adopted him from the Fort Worth animal shelter while living in Texas. We have since moved and now reside in Maryland. We have had Max for about 4 years now, he will be 7 years old on April 15, 2024, sadly we cannot keep him at our new apartment complex. We are passionate about finding him a new loving home as he has been shown nothing but love and affection since living with us.

Chanel's guardian offers a brief a medical history:  "Pet is currently disabled, been to 2 specialists.  She has no broken bones and/or Lyme disease.  They are not sure what's causing her to not be able to walk." Chanel's guardian states the following regarding children:  Although Chanel hasn't lived with children, her guardian recommends her living with children, stating "She allowed kids to pet her and her tail wagged". Chanel's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Chanel has lived with dogs, so her guardian recommends her living with dogs, stating "She is friendly with other friendly dogs.  She is scared of aggressive dogs". Story
Unfortunately, our family has made the decision to find Chloe and Luna a new home where their needs could be better met. It has taken a toll on some of us and we want to prevent any mistreatment and lack of love/availability for the dogs. If possible, we would love to find a loving home where BOTH girls can stay together. This is Chloe, a 4.5 year old, 9 lb, fully vaccinated and spayed Chihuahua. Chloe loves to cuddle, share naps and play fetch. She gets along with familiar adults and children. She has never bitten/attacked people, but has the tendency to bark at strangers. Chloe is the star of our home when visitors arrive as she provides unavoidable warmth and love to who ever accepts it!

He is UTD on shots and waiting for his forever home. Meet and greets for approved adopters will be by appointment. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a dog application which can be found at http://fallstonanimalrescue.org/adopt/ and e-mail it to fallstonrescue@aol.com.
