Story
Quick Facts Name: Ogok Age: 1.5 years old Gender: Male Neutered/Sprayed: Yes Breed: Chihuahua Mix Color: Black & Brown & White Weight: 3.9kg All About Me Hi, I’m Ogok! I’m a lively and affectionate one-and-a-half-year-old Chihuahua mix, weighing 3.9kg (8.6lb). I may be small, but I have a big personality and an even bigger heart. I love meeting new people and dogs, and I’m always excited for my next adventure. I’m looking for a home where I can get plenty of love, playtime, and care as I prepare for an important step in my health journey. My Personality I’m incredibly friendly and social—I love being around people and will happily come up for pets and cuddles, even if we’ve just met. I enjoy being the center of attention and will lean in for affection whenever I get the chance. My playful and curious nature makes me a joy to be around, and I’m always eager to make new friends. Social Skills With other dogs, I’m just as outgoing as I am with people. I love greeting both familiar and unfamiliar dogs and will often invite them to play. I haven’t been around cats before, so I’m not sure how I’d react to them. When it comes to food, I don’t mind people being near my meals, but if another dog gets too close while I’m eating, I might give a little growl to let them know I’d like my space. Energy and Activities I have a high energy level and need plenty of exercise and playtime to stay happy. Running, playing, and going on walks are some of my favorite things. Once I’ve had enough activity, I can settle down and relax, but I thrive in a home that can keep up with my enthusiasm for life. I’m great on a leash and don’t pull, making me a fun and easy walking companion. Health and Special Considerations I was recently diagnosed with Grade 3 patellar luxation in both knees, and I will be undergoing surgery soon. My future family should be prepared to help me through my recovery and ensure I get the care I need to stay comfortable and active. My Ideal Home  I would love a home where I get plenty of attention and engagement. Since I love both people and dogs, I’d be happy in a household with another friendly pup, but I can also thrive as the only dog as long as I get lots of love and playtime. My ideal family would be patient and understanding as I go through my surgery and recovery, helping me regain my strength so I can continue being the energetic and happy dog I was born to be. Special Notes I have a huge personality packed into a tiny body! I love people, enjoy making dog friends, and have a zest for life that makes me a joy to be around. With my upcoming surgery, I’ll need a bit of extra care, but once I recover, I’ll be ready to run, play, and love with all my heart. If you’re looking for a small dog with a big spirit, I might be the perfect match for you. I can’t wait to find a family that will love me as much as I’ll love them! ##2308670##

Story
Layla has been with me ever since I rescued and bottle feed her as an abandoned 5 week old puppy. She is 10 now and as difficult as it is, she needs a new home. Life has taken unexpected turns for me leading me to move to the city for the first time in Layla's life. She has always been a generally anxious baby (queue in chihuahua energy). In the suburbs and in rural areas where I lived over the past decade she dealt well, only being troublesome around children and vacuum cleaners. These days she is insurmountably stressed. I have tried CBD and various types of behavioral/ reactive training to ease her anxiety about all city things but to no effect. She has prescription anxiety medication which she very rarely needed to take when her environment was peaceful. With that, I am looking for an experience dog human who lives in a calm place to offer her a forever home. I would love for her to be the only dog but she has done well with other dogs that are peaceful.

Story
Penelope is estimated to be 8 yrs old and weighs 11 lbs. She is a healthy little dog. She was 1 of 11 dogs removed from a hoarding situation. As a result, this beautiful little gal is shy when she first meet strangers but she quickly warms up, especially if there is another friendly dog around to lead the way. Nevertheless, she is very very gentle and sweet and does not display any fear aggression. Penelope will do well in a quiet adult household or older children who are familiar with having a small dog around, dog rescuers at heart who have the patience and the will to give this gentle little gal the couple of days she needs to come around and show how loving her little heart really is. She loves other dogs and is submissive to them, she is a follower, not a leader, so a home where there is another dog friendly dog would also be great. Penelope is very quiet, not a barker. She will let out a low whimpering when you leave the room, but that it is. She is non destructive and will go lay into her open door crate on her own. So she can be given the run of the house when left home alone. She is peepad trained and keeps her crate and bedding clean. She is very food motivated, and takes treats gently. She has a very good appetite. Penelope is waiting for a loving home where she can blossom to the max of her extensive capabilities.

Story
Wilfred came to us from a local shelter after being found as a stray. He may have had a rough start, but this delicate soul is full of love and resilience. Due to a medical condition, Wilfred had to have both of his eyes removed, but that hasn’t slowed him down one bit. He still enjoys long walks and is always ready to share his affection! Wilfred has also been diagnosed with Diabetes Insipidus, a condition caused by a hormone imbalance. This is easily managed with a pill he takes twice a day, and he’ll need yearly check-ups with his vet to ensure everything is in order. Though he’s shy at first, once Wilfred gets to know you, he’ll recognize your voice and scent anywhere, happily following your lead. He’s a classic lap dog, content with a good chin scratch and a cozy snuggle. Wilfred would thrive in a calm and loving home, preferably with teens or adults who understand his needs. He also gets along well with other gentle and easygoing dogs. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s overcome the odds and is ready to give all his love, Wilfred is your guy!
