Story
In Haughton, LA - Let me introduce Cooper to you! He’s a black and white Border Collie/Lab Mix. He’s approximately 1 years old. He came from a shelter where he was scheduled to be euthanized, but ASF rescued him so he could find her furever home. He’s very energetic and loves being outdoors and playing with other animals. He does very well with other dogs, I’m unsure about cats. He shows no sign of aggression whatsoever. He sleeps in his kennel at night very well. He doesn’t whine unless another animal is nearby. He plays with toys but it’s not something he does often. He loves eating!! He does very well in a vehicle, he wants to be right on top of you. He seems to be potty trained for the most part. He doesn’t enjoy any type of water on his body unless it’s to go outside and potty. Overall Copper is a fun loving and lovable boy, who was saved from death row and now ready to start his new life with his new family. If he sounds great for your family, here is the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additioal $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
Meet Sage!Sage is very gentle and attentive to her surroundings. She is a great guard dog and very loving! She spends most of her time napping inside, but enjoys taking a stroll around the yard from time to time. She prefers to be wherever the people are.We think Sage would do best in a home where she can get lots of love and be the only pet. Someone who is home a lot of the time. She is very sweet and seems to pick up on emotions well. She can sense when someone is anxious or sad and goes to comfort them. We think she could really help someone looking for a companion who struggles with anxiety or depression.Sage is currently in foster care outside of the shelter. Story
Meet Ruger!Ruger loves to play outside chasing birds and bugs until he's worn out and wants to nap inside the rest of the day. He's spunky and playful, full of personality. He loves to cuddle and be the center of attention. We think Ruger would do best in any home where he will get lots of attention and cuddles. He needs lots of outdoor space, definitely fenced in. He has not spent a lot of time around children, but we could see him enjoying kids to play with outside.Ruger is currently in foster care outside of the shelter.
