Freckles, an Australian cattle dog/Lab mix, and is now available and ready to mix and mingle with any breed and size of dog that will play with him. This 7-8 month old handsome little 42 pound guy loves all people and children whether you are playing or snuggling with him. His personality is that of loyal loving lab that will capture your heart! Freckles came to us as a stray, trying to survive alone in a wooded area. He was previously adopted then given away... and sadly, as is frequently the case, no responsible owner came forward but that's ok he's on to a better life and wow does he deserve it! He is such an affectionate sweetheart that will fit into any family. He loves to play hard and snuggle hard as the saying goes. Another playful dog to get his energy out would be ideal and a fence is REQUIRED. This fantastic boy is one of the best cuddles we have and loves to sleep with his head on your shoulder or his long little body curled up on your lap. He loves his toys, chew bones and is doing good on loose leash walking. Freckles really loves any activity/adventures with his people....walks, hikes, runs when he's old enough, camping going on car rides, etc and you will be rewarded with lots of kisses by this cutie! He is easy to redirect and wants to please his people and very smart. He is also hard at work on 4 on the floor when he's super excited, and potty training is almost complete, if you pay attention to his signals. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals.
