Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Chief is a 4 month old Collie mix.  The owner was told he was a Collie/Feist mix but he is pretty big already.   Unfortunately they can't have a big dog because of health issues but they wanted to save him from a yard sale.   Chief is extremely friendly, very photogenic and he loves everyone!!  Believe it or not he is already house trained, now he may need a little more training when he gets to his new home but he is just amazing.   If you would like to meet Chief please fill out an application from our website.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 6:12 pm

Story
Can a Collie get a break here?? Yes, we think I am a collie mix and what a handsome boy I am!! I did not look this handsome when I arrived at the rescue, but a DEDICATED foster took me in and nursed me back to health and (even though it will be hard for her), I am READY for my FUREVER HOME!!! I came from a plea at a local animal control facility- I had been attacked by three other dogs at the facility who broke into my kennel and mauled me pretty bad :( My foster mom saw the post and agreed to help, and HELP she DID!!! Even though not a medical foster, she learned ALL the things she had to do to help my body and my soul heal. My back end/sides were torn OPEN on each side, numerous bite marks and punctures and infection when she got me. I spent quite a bit of time at the rescue vet for debridement and treatment of the very serious infections and then she took me home and changed my dressings daily and then weekly and then no more dressings!! I am a very very sweet and cuddly boy. House/crate trained, great with other dogs and everyone I meet (except kitties- not a fan). I am a medium sized boy and I am ready for you!!! My ideal family will love and appreciate my survivor personality, my cuddly and happy temperament and will keep me safe from harm for as long as they are blessed to have me :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Our pets are fostered and physically located in NC until adopted. Once adopted we can deliver to your location or one of our north eastern delivery locations. We have a transporter who delivers north ever other week. Aggie came from a local shelter along with her pups. Aggie was surrendered because she was VERY PROTECTIVE over her puppies. The former owner had a small child in the home and she was concerned about her toddler's well being. Aggie had always been perfect with her family until her pups were born. Being a protective first time mom is ONLY NATURAL and to be expected, The shelter knew my love for heelers and they knew I would be patient with her. I have handled Aggie extensively and she is a good girl. She would be better with women verses men. She is good with other dogs and I think she would be great on a working farm. That is where she came from, a working farm. She would be best with an active person and she would not do well cooped up in a small apartment all day. SHE IS A WORKING DOG. She is crate trained. She will go to her new home current on vaccines, heartworm tested(neg), current on preventives, deworming and microchipped. She will be spayed. She will receive a complete physical and a certificate of health issued by my vet prior to going home. The adopter will get all her health records with adoption. We require a pre screen application to adopt. You can get that on our website at www.saveamuttkennel.net

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Fefe is a 5 year old Border Collie mix, she weighs about 45 pounds.   Fefe was rescued by her foster mom when her neighbors moved.  They kept her in a small lot all of the time, she was never let out to play.  She didn't have anything to keep her dry or out of the heat.  She won't go inside a dog house because of the way she was treated.   Once her foster mom got her Fefe learned how life should really be.  Fefe loves to be outside with the option to go indoors if she wants.  Unfortunately she was never socialized by her owners so she is very skittish when first meeting new people.   She loves other dogs but will get intimidated by alpha dogs and go hide.  She has been around cats, but there is only 1 cat that she doesn't chase.  She would be better without cats and young children.  The only reason her foster mom is trying to find her a new home is because her personal dog is funny with other dogs and he is scaring her.   If you would like to meet Fefe please fill out an application from our website.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 6:12 pm
