Story
Chansey is 8 year old Collie/chow mix who weighs 60 pounds. He talks to you to tell you what he wants. Chansey is a playful senior, who is good with other dogs. He loves people and lights up when they come to see him. He is house and crate trained. If you are interested in adopting Chansey please submit an inquiry directly with Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting http://www.charlottespca.org/adopt/. ***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers and we require a home check for each of our adoptable pets prior to them going to their new homes, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family further than 60 miles from Charlotte is responsible for finding a representative of a rescue local to them that is willing to perform the home check. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to meet/pick up the pet as soon as the application is approved.***January 1, 2025, 6:06 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Chief is an 8 month old Collie mix.  The owner got him at a yard sale and was told he was a Collie/Feist mix but we are not sure we believe that. Chief was surrendered to us when he got injured.  We think he may have been hit by a car and his wrist was broken through both his radius and ulna bones.  We had to take Chief to a specialist to have surgery.  The only way they could stabilize the bones was to use and external fixator device.   Chief is doing well but we are having to keep him in a kennel at the vets office so he doesn't hurt his leg.  Our director takes him to Winston Salem every 2 weeks to have a check up on how he is healing.   He is still up for adoption and would love to have his forever home. If you would like to meet Chief please fill out an application from our website.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 14, 2024, 10:19 pm
