My favorite thing to do is run around and play with my siblings and give kisses to my foster mom.   We are good with other most other dogs, dog savvy children, and we have been exposed to ranch animals as well. We are all 7 month old shepherd mixes, approximately 45 pounds each. I am 3 months old and weighs around 15 pounds. I will be 60-70 pounds fully grown.    I’m working on house training, and basic obedience. I’m really smart, I already know the sit and down on command. I’m going to need additional assistance on house training, but with a good schedule I know I’ll master it in no time.  I sleep in my kennel with my brothers at night, I sleep all night without accidents.    I love playing. My favorite game right now is fetch. I can race a ball around for hours. I’m really patient. I have been around young kids who hold me daily and I let them handle me without much fuss. I’m looking for a family who will teach me many skills, take me on adventures, and love me unconditionally. I’ve got more of a terrier look to me, but trust me when I say I’m perfect! My foster mom tells me every day that I’m made up of all the best and happiest things in this world and I bring her so much joy! I could probably be a great Emotional Support Animal one day if you wanted to get me trained! Do you know what makes me happy? Being with you and I don’t even KNOW you! Being in your lap, and I’ve never even BEEN there! Having you pet me and you haven’t EVEN tried yet! My heart is just bursting with love and I’m ready to love YOU! Have you ever been in a crate? It’s great! I love it! I have this cozy dog bed that I curl up in and I don’t make a peep… I sleep through the night!  I haven’t had any accidents in my foster parent’s home so I’m thinking my track record is pretty great. Maybe you can teach me your routine and I can be a good girl for you too! I play… I love to play… but you are WAY better than play in my eyes! So we could just snuggle up and leave the world to it’s chao while we watch tv, movies, sports, you name it! I’m great with other dogs, I’m great with kids, I’m great with everyone. I’ve never met a cat but we could give it a try! We’ve all got a history… let me tell you mine. I was rescued off the streets as a stray from a burned down building with my sister and my brother! No joke, it was still in embers when they found me. So when it comes to gratitude, I’m a ninja warrior third degree black belt in appreciating that you even care to meet me and that I am alive! I like to think that this is why I have such a caring and compassionate nature and just want to show everyone how much I appreciate my sweet little life! If you take your Whiskey cute, your Heelers blue, and your dogs from shelters, this girl will be sweet for you! (Isn't that what Hozier says in that song that's all over the internet?) Whiskey is a shy little lady, who did not enjoy the chaotic shelter environment. She's currently relaxing in a foster home with a couple of other cattle dogs, who she tolerates. She does seem to be warming up to them and is more interested in interacting with them after almost a week. She previously lived with another dog, but the previous guardians said she was more relaxed when her littermate wasn't around. Whiskey didn't meet many other dogs in the previous home. She really enjoys playing ball and if a familiar dog is also playing ball at the same time, that's okay with her. She loves to go on walks. If another person is walking a familiar dog next to her, she's fine with that too. Walks with her are relaxing: She doesn't pull. She walks past unfamiliar dogs just fine. She'll chase all those pesky flies away from you while you hang out on the patio together. Whiskey just loves to be near you, lying at your feet. She is grateful for some scratches and massages when you have time. She closes her eyes and melts when you pet her. Once you've earned your rightful place in the Cattle Dog inner circle, you'll always have Whiskey by your side, watching over you and loving you as hard as she can.
