PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION HERE’S BONNIE AND WINNIE…..and if they hadn’t come with those names, we would have named them Lovey and Dovey, they are that sweet. They are littermates and have never been separated and only with one owner. Sadly, their senior mom is going into assisted living and can’t take them with her. They have been loved and well treated, as best a senior can do…but she never gave them shots, had them spayed, put on a collar, walked them on a leash and were rarely taken outside!! They are potty pad trained…and now, they walk pretty well on a leash, the collars are on, they’ve been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed and they are healthy as can be! BONNIE is a bundle of energy! At almost 4 yrs old, she is a 13 lb, black and white soft scruffy DoxiPoo, as best as we can tell. She doesn’t seem to shed much, but unlikely hypoallergenic. She is the leader and gets uber excited when she sees you! Bonnie will give you a bath with her tongue if you let her — she loves to tell her person how much they are appreciated. WINNIE is just 9.5 lbs, tan in color and also a DoxiPoo. She is not scruffy like her sister — her coat is soft and silkier. The more low key of the two, she is a bit on the timid side at first — but don’t let that fool you! She gets equally excited to see you and kiss you — just less demonstrative than her sister. Winnie is a bit on the fearful side and not as outgoing as Bonnie initially, but this is all very new to them. With practice and patience, we believe they will be model citizens. They are just learning what toys are!! The ideal home for these lovebugs will have a yard to make their potty training easier on their family. They don’t like being left alone! When they first arrived, they howled if I wasn’t around, but now that they feel safe, they are very quiet. Still, we don’t think an apartment would be the best for them. They need to know they are loved and in their forever home, and lots of attention and opportunities to experience the world around them. Their balanced energy is the perfect match…Winnie would love to stay and sit on your lap, while Bonnie goes running with a family member! Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID If you are interested in adopting a pup from Lhasa Happy Homes, please complete the Adoption Application before calling. Story
Donut is looking for his forever home.  He's a darling little mini Dachshund/Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix. He'll be 6 years old on June 4.  A tiny 12 pounds. Donut has extreme separation anxiety.  He is destructive when left alone.  Medication and exercise may help. He was born very hard of hearing, but is very healthy.  He loves to cuddle and sun bathe.  Smart, friendly and loving.  A total lap dog. Someone that is home most of the time would be the best fit. If you are interested in adopting Donut, please complete an adoption application on our website to be pre-approved:  www.dachshundrescueoflosangeles.comOctober 29, 2024, 1:06 am

Ty is a gorgeous red and white piebald short hair Dachshund. He is all ready for his forever home.  Up to date on all vaccinations, rabies, and had a dental. Ty is 9 years old, and about 20 pounds. He's going to need an experienced owner as he growls and snaps quite a bit at other dogs, and people.  He doesn't like cats. No young children, and he may do best as the only dog in the home. If you are interested in adopting Ty, please complete an adoption application on our website to be pre-approved:  www.dachshundrescueoflosangeles.com      October 29, 2024, 1:06 am

Story
Beautiful Mimi is a 13 year old senior long hair black and tan purebred Dachshund.  She weighs 21 pounds, but still working on losing weight. This sweet girl is special needs.  She has hypothyroidism, and is on medication for that.  Also has gallbladder sludge, and on Ursodiol for that.  Chronic nephropothy which is kidney disease, and is on benzepril and a supplement for her kidneys.  She also gets a urinary chew that has cranberry and d-mannose to prevent her getting urinary tract infections. Mimi sleeps a lot, and doesn't bark much, so would be okay in an apartment or condo. She gets along with other dogs, and new people. If you are interested in adopting Mimi, please complete an adoption application on our website to be pre-approved:  www.dachshundrescueoflosangeles.comOctober 29, 2024, 1:06 am

Story
Maggie is one of the sweetest girls you'll ever see. Maggie is a 13 year old Dachshund/Chihuahua.   This girl is a barker, so a home with a yard is the best fit.  Not good for apartment or condo living. Loves to go on walks, get belly rubs, and play.  Enjoys laying out in the sunshine, dreaming of her future home. She is potty trained, and knows how to use the doggie door.  Loves sleeping in the big bed.  Eager to please, and takes direction well. All she wants to do is give LOVE !! If you are interested in adopting Maggie, please complete an adoption application on our website to be pre-approved:  dachshundrescueoflosangeles.com     December 6, 2024, 5:04 pm
