My name is Lily-also known as "Bug", and I am an affectionate, loving, playful dachshund, chihuahua, min pin mix! I love taking walks, playing, and showing off tricks (especially for a treat!), but I also really love relaxing, cuddling and sometimes doing my own thing.  I thrive in calm environments and don't like loud noises or the unpredictability of small children.  Because of this, I am looking for a home with only adults. I am extremely low maintenance and go with the flow. If you are busy, I will be happy to spend the day in my 'house' (an area reserved just for my bed and I where I feel safe and secure). If you want to play, I will play!  If you want to cuddle, I'll do that, too! My point is, I will take your lead ;) Back in April of this year, I hit double digits...10 years old! And even though I am considered an older dog now, I still have a lot of life left in me and more importantly, a lot of love left to give.

Paris is a active girl. She loves to play, go on walks & play fetch. She also loves playing with the other small dogs in the household. We feel she would be better in a home that already has a dachshund or another small dog. Due to owners health issues, Paris is being the first to be rehome. Paris just turned 4yrs this past June and have had her since 12 weeks old. She doesn't care for cold or rainy weather but if your on the couch with or without a banket she will join you for belly& back rubs. Paris though us not a jumper so be prepared to pick her up or have a dog ramp accessible for her to use. Paris is not a picky eater, she can graze sometimes but mostly only eats at dinnertime between 6/7 pm. We are requiring two meet & greets by us, a vet reference prior to first meet and greet. Meet & greets will be 30-45 minutes outside weather permitt. First meet & greets will be individual or parents adopting with their dog(s) in household. Children are not allowed on first meet & greets.

Ruby is pee pad house trained and plays well with other small dogs in household. She probably be best to be in a household that has other small dogs under 20lbs. Ruby we believe will stay on the small side, she is very active and not crate trained. She currently is not mircochipped but thar may change at some time. Ruby is a grazer and likes hard food and fresh food. She gets a all stage food mixture of two different brands. She rarely is taken for a walk. Req: Must be 21yrs-60 yrs, have a moderate/active lifestyle. If you live in a apt u Must have a Letterhead letter stating your name and address is allowed to have a dog. Two Meet and Greets a must within One weeks time period. To make sure you/her are good fit. Live within 2 hrs of McHenry. Provide a current or last Vet Reference prior to First Meet & Greet. Must pay (a deposit) & sign a spay aggreement to be completed within 30 days. If not spayed within the 30 day period, then deposit is forfeited and non-refundable.

Toss on the side the road like garbage this little guy and a few other were found fending for them selves. Luck was on their side that day that my niece and her mom were on their way to see family when they spotted them. They were kind to take care of them until they can get into our care. He has been completed vetted and ready to find a loving home that will take care of him for the rest of his life. He did test positive for Ehrlichia which is a tick born disease, however can lead a normal life. He need at his annual a blood test to make sure all is good. Other than that he is a happy little guy. He seems to be house trained and waits to be let out, he does lift his leg if you don't take him out right away but with him being just neutered he will stop doing that. Very sweet. They are a package deal, consider it a 2-for-1 special! Both have good energy and cannot stop wiggling their butts constantly! We are purebred dachshunds, with slightly different colored patches but all dachshund ALL the time! We are your standard dachshund size and have the temperament that would be great as a binge watching buddy, gaming friend or even a professional nappers (seriously we're that good.) Chico does have a seizure disorder that is controlled well with phenobarbital. His seizures were only about 1 a week but no one wants to let it happen so the meds were started and work GREAT!
