Story
Meet Eunice: a sweet, easygoing “Golden Girl.”
She’s a 10-year-old, 21-pound dachshund mix, originally from Alabama, but is well adjusted to her new atmosphere in Brooklyn. Eunice fully embodies the definition of “go-with-the-flow.” She’s a quiet dog, does well with rides in the car and on the subway, is respectful and neutral towards other dogs and animals, and gratefully receives love in the form of pets and walks. Eunice needs a cozy forever home, where she can spend peaceful days curled up next to you. She has the long body of a dachshund, but the telltale bray of a beagle comes out when she gets excited. Eunice is not an excessive barker, and does not go after small creatures on walks, nor bark at regular apartment sounds heard in the city. She is a quiet old girl who appreciates belly rubs, head pats, and a comfy dog bed positioned near you where she can lounge.
Eunice is great on a leash and enjoys her daily walks, although she does have some mild arthritis, so she's a bit slower on stairs (she's fine going up, but takes her time going down). Despite this, she's still active and loves getting outside for fresh air. This sweet girl is wonderful with other animals. She would do great in a home with children if they respect her space and are gentle with her.
Eunice's laid-back, loving nature makes her an easy companion in any home. She's the type of dog who will happily relax by your side, content with life's simple pleasures. If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate friend who is easygoing and sweet as can be, Eunice may be the perfect fit for you!
Vaccinated for DHPP, rabies, lepto, and bordetella. Neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick and heartworm prevention.

We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available.
