Meet Celine! A pretty 4-year-old, 28 lb, Dachshund/Terrier mix with a joyful spirit and playful personality.
Celine has overcome a challenging start to life, but she doesn’t let her past prevent her from living life to the fullest! She was one of 40 dogs rescued from a hoarding case where they roamed freely in a house, yard, and sometimes the streets. Despite her past, she is not the typical unsocialized dog you might expect. Sure, she can be a bit shy at first, but she warms up very quickly!
This girl is a master of making new canine friends, and becomes a lively and playful character during play dates! She loves to play chase and she loves doggy toys, gleefully running with a toy clutched in her mouth, eyes gleaming with happiness, and enticing others to joy in on the fun.
Celine has recently moved into a foster home, with new doggy friends and kids to play with. She does amazing with kids and enjoys running and playing with them too! She has excellent house manners despite her past, is already housebroken, and walks amazingly well on a leash considering she had never been exposed to one before. She is always up for some cuddle time, and will happily sprawl out on the floor, snuggle up to you on the couch, or sleep beside you in bed. Celine is crate trained, sleeps nicely through the night without any fuss, and possesses a perfectly balanced energy level dividing her time between playful activity and enjoying some couch potato time. She has proved herself to be a gem of a dog!
* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.
