This handsome little fellow is Looie! He is a 9 week old male Dachshund mix. He is expected to be under 25lbs when he is full grown. He is super friendly and is very social. He loves to snuggle and wants to be with you at all times. He still has lots of puppy energy and loves to romp and play. He is such a little lover and he never turns down a good belly rub. He would make the perfect lap dog! Although he is great with children, due to his small size we are not comfortable placing him in a home with children under the age of 7. He would make a great addition to just about any family! He is currently located down South at our sister shelters and available for pre-adoption. We do transports to NJ once a month. He can't wait to find his forever home!

Meet Lola! This sweet spunky girl was shy at first but quickly opens up into a playful energetic pup, a Velcro dog who loves attention from her person. She came to us with her young puppy Luther after an accidental breeding... the rest of her puppies were sadly handed out "free to good home" way too young but we were able to secure her with her last puppy before he met the same fate. She's been a good mom to her baby in foster care but at only a year old is ready to get to enjoy her own puppyhood at last now that she's been spayed. She's under 15lbs full grown and looks like a doxie/chihuahua mix. She does need some work on housebreaking and is still a puppy at heart and needs some work on her house manners. She tends to bark when nervous meeting new people and other dogs, and fast movements and young children make her nervous so she's looking for a low key adult home that will continue to gradually socialize her. Charming CHAMP is a middle-aged guy who likes mellow walks and quiet time with his human. He LOVES to snuggle and at 15 lbs he fits wonderfully in a lap. We estimate him to be a Dachshund / Terrier mix and about 7-9 years old. He would do best in a quiet household without children or other pets. Champ can be very protective of his people and home, so he would prefer to be your one and only - no other pets or children. Any interested applicants will need to come to the shelter to spend some time with him before adoption to understand his behaviors and how to best support him to have a happy home. The volunteers at ARF love him to bits and know he will be a wonderful buddy for the right person!
