Shelter team and volunteers fell in love with me instantly, I would make a great hiking and camping partner, I would love a yard I can run around in, I am learning to walk better on a harness, I do pull a little, I just love walks so much, I get excited. HI - I'M CARTER, a sweet, loving and strong 3- to 4-year-old Doberman/Shepherd mix. I was originally rescued from a California shelter and am now in a foster home! I'm a dream dog! I am house-trained and crate trained (I love my crate), great with other dogs, and am currently learning how to get along with horses. I love running, playing with my squeaky toys, going for walks and cuddling with humans. If you let me, I'll share your bed! I have an easygoing and funny personality, and am looking for someone to offer me a safe and comfortable home. I would do well with a fenced yard as I love to do the zoomies! I'm super smart and I learn quickly: I know the commands of "easy" (when I'm getting a treat), "stay" and I am learning to sit on command. I would thrive in an active, calm, family-oriented environment. I would do well with a single person, a couple or a family. I love kids and other dogs, and would love to wrestle with teenagers! Pablo is a sweet, kind soul. Very patient with small animals and little kids. We were his first owner and he was turned over to a teenage boy. They love each other so much but as life would have it the teenage boy is now working full time and gone a lot and doesn’t have the time Pablo needs. Pablo is very much a people dog. He isn’t living his best life. He needs more attention and exercise. It is killing his owner to even think of giving him up but he loves him enough to want what’s best for him. Pablo is a healthy, beautiful dog that needs room to play and someone with time to spend.

So here I was, minding my own business at the Target store.... when I was saved by a nice couple who saw me giving birth in the parking lot :( It was cold and it was scary and no one knew if i had puppies anywhere else or if my single puppy was going to live ;( It was a scary time...luckily the rescue had a foster who took me home and I proceeded to give birth to 7 more little ankle biters that day!!! And now my little puppy torpedos are almost old enough to be adopted and I am getting ready to find my real home too!! I am now fully in the POST PARTUM part of my life! My babies are all grown and OUT of the nest and I am ready for a family of my own!! (preferably one that DOESN'T shop at Target :) I have the sweetest and most loving personality. I want to have a sweet and loving family too. I am active and playful but will lay in your lap for hours if you scratch me and kiss me and love me! I am a loyal girl and will give you the best years of my life!! promise :) I am.just so ready for you, please fill out the application and I can be yours furever!!
