Story
No Out Of The Province or our Adoption Area will be accepted. Our adoption area is the following cities only. Beaumont Devon Edmonton Fort Saskatchewan Leduc Saint Albert Spruce Grove Stony Plain Please reference our About Our Rescue Document which will be emailed to you please ask for this when you email our rescue. Name: Forest Age: 7 months old. Breed: Yorkie Coloring: Black and Tan Weight: 10 pounds Vaccination Status: Up to date Neutered: Yes Microchipped: Yes Deworming: Yes x3 House Trained: Working on It. Crate Trained: Yes Temperament: Forest is a sociable and affectionate canine companion who enjoys interacting with people of all genders. He possesses a playful and energetic disposition and thrives on outdoor activities. Daily Schedule: Forest typically awakes early, uses the restroom, and then, weather permitting, engages in outdoor play within the secured yard. He consumes two meals daily. Hair cuts are scheduled every four months. Nail trims are scheduled every six to eight weeks. We seek a knowledgeable and experienced Yorkie family who understand the breed's unique personality traits. Forest enjoys playing in his water bowl, splashing when the water level is low. Yorkies are known for their vocalizations during play or when visitors arrive. A securely fenced yard is essential, given their digging tendencies and natural prey drive. Thorough research into the Yorkie breed is strongly recommended. Due to his propensity for excitement and play barking, Forest is unsuitable for apartment, condo, townhouse, or duplex living. Forest is highly intelligent and enjoys playing with other small dogs; however, he would also thrive in an active family environment as a sole pet. Before contacting our rescue, please thoroughly research puppy care, including grooming requirements and house training expectations, to ensure a positive adoption experience. **Training Classes Required** Forest will benefit from some training classes to help him adjust to a new home. Force Free Dog Obedience Training classes are mandatory for adopting Forest from Heart Prints Dog Rescue Society. This requirement is non-negotiable. Please note that training classes are not included in our adoption fee. **Adoption Fee: $750.00** This fee is non-negotiable. Interested in meeting Forest? Please come to one of our meets and greet days. Email us at Heartprintsdogadoptions@gmail.com to receive our "All About Our Rescue Document." Please reference our "About Our Rescue Document" which will be emailed to you. Please ask for this when you email our rescue. To facilitate a successful placement, please provide a brief description of your household, including family members, existing pets, and the typical noise level. Please also detail your property's fencing (type and height) and your housing status (rent or own). This information will help us identify the best home for Forest. Given the high volume of applications, we cannot respond to all inquiries. We will only contact applicants who have provided all requested information. We will not respond to demanding or overly assertive requests, inquiries about adoption status, or brief questions such as "Is this dog available?". Furthermore, please do not contact us to express disagreement with any aspect of Forest's biography; such communications place undue stress on our volunteers. Our priority is, and always will be, the well-being of the dogs in our care.

Story
Spike has a story with us and we’d like to share it with you . Spike is a two year old Husky mix . He came from the Northwest Territories SPCA when he was 8 weeks old. He was a happy friendly puppy who loved the female dog, cat and kids in his foster home . He was adopted as a puppy and then abandoned , dropped at the neighbours when he was 7 months old . She only realized he had been a rescue pup from his microchip when she took him to the vet . He had a limp and she contacted us saying she cared for him but he was too puppy for an older lady. We brought him back into care and we realized that he would periodically limp . The vets said he was born with a shorter back leg , and it was accommodating his active lifestyle but starting to cause him consistent pain. He would need to be on pain medication or have it amputated for better quality of life . A couple months ago BARS decided to give him a pain free , active , happy life and amputate his short leg . It was a tough few days after surgery but he healed up amazingly. He is running , playing and back to his best self . Spike is ready for a family to love him forever . If Spike could speak he would ask for lots of outside space , a safe place to sleep at night . Cats , cats and more cats , as he absolutely loves them and protects them . He is good with female dogs after proper introductions but hasn’t had much luck sharing a home with another male . Spike loves toys and can carry multiple toys in his mouth at once . He is a smart , funny and vibrant character that will add so much love and excitement to your home. Please consider meeting Spike , we know his forever home is out there somewhere! If you would like to meet Spike, please fill out the adoption application.

Story
Hello world I’m Ollie, I’m a Pyrenees gal 4/5yrs old. I love dogs and cats. I’m good with farm animals. I love cuddles and adventures in the great outdoors. If I were to have one characteristic that can be a challenge it’s that I’m protective of my person and my property. It’s very normal for my breed. I do best with another friendly dog that does friendly meet and greets then I want to be friendly too. If you were looking for a pair I met and fell in love with Kuma while in my foster home. He happens to be looking for a home as well. kuma LOVES people and that makes me want to love them as well.
