Story
Macy is a young bear coat female that came to Pei People with 4 other females. She is fantastic with other dogs and would do best in a home with other dogs. She loves to play and has finally discovered the fun of a good squeaky toy. She is fostering with both Shar pei and smaller dogs so she is great with dogs of all sizes and both male and female. She is very food motivated which has come in handy with earning her trust. She loves to nudge her foster mom for snacks She now has a beautiful bear coat. Macy has done great in the bath tub.  She loves kids probably more than she does the adults but way better if you get down on her level. She is completely house trained and loves her dog door. We think she may be happier in a home with a yard as she does enjoy being outside. She has been very safe around the family pool.    Macy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and had entropion surgery!   We are just seeing the tip of the iceberg on what a great dog she will be with some patience and lots of love.     January 4, 2025, 7:50 pm

Story
Hey, Hey, Hey Yogi is in the house. This poor boy was found as a stray in Phoenix AZ. He was microchipped and was registered...that's where the happy story ends. Yogi's family never returned any of the shelter phone calls so he quickly found himself on the list no dog ever wants to be on....euthanasia. Well there was no way we were letting that happen to this sweet boy! He is fabulous with other dogs and definitely likes to play. The 1 year old foster boys in the home were able to get him to romp around the yard. He loves his food which makes him being so thin even worse..his family was clearly not feeding him enough or on a regular basis. He was a rockstar in the car on his drive from Phoenix to Tucson. He walks great on a leash and would really benefit from some regular walks to improve his musculature. We will have our vet take a look at his ears but they clearly have also been neglected. We are super excited to get his boy healthy and on the road to a much better life.  For all you Yogi Bear fan's this boy "Is smarter than the av-er-age bear"!November 12, 2024, 3:26 pm

Story
Supreme aka Sky came to us as a puppy from the humane society in phoenix az. She wasn't expected to live long due to a heart valve defect but not only has this girl crushed the odds she is thriving. We don't have a crystal ball but this girl is doing amazing on a very inexpensive heart medication (atentolol). She plays like crazy with her foster brother but she will probably never run the Boston Marathon She is great with dogs, cats, kids and the occasional tortoise. She loves to travel and is always up for a beach vacation. She is house trained and crate trained. She will be spayed in December and on the hunt for her forever home!
