Story
Hi. My name is Sadie Pickles and I need to find a person or family that will love me forever. I am a female beagle-mix. I am approx. 3 ½ yrs. old and weigh ~ 42 lbs. I was recently surrendered to Penny Angels Beagle Rescue because my previous owner said that I love attention and would do anything for it. During a petting session by my previous owner, I snapped at the other dog in the home when he tried to be a part of the ‘session’, and I also broke skin on my owner’s hand. I have also growled and snapped at the grandkids when I lived with them. I don’t know what happened to make me act that way. It would be best for me to find a home with an experienced dog owner with older children. Because of my history, no small or young kids (including grand-kids) should be left unsupervised around me. I have a lot of energy and would do well with someone who can give me one-on-one attention, though I am also an independent girl. I get along fine with the other dogs in Rescue but probably shouldn’t go to a home with another high energy dog. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to take me to training classes to see how you can better address potential issues that might arise. I am spayed and up-to-date with my vaccinations. I am using a doggie door in Rescue during the day and will need to learn new rules in your home. I am a sweet, playful, and loving girl. I am very smart and inquisitive, and I know some basic commands. I am a fast learner, too, and I love to please people. I walk well with a harness but would also be good in a home with a fenced-in yard. If you could take me for walks to work off some of my energy (or play with me inside or outside in the yard), that would be good for me. I am crate-trained and love my crate, though I haven’t needed to use it as much lately; I was given full run of the house in my previous home without problems. (My large crate, crate pads, and dog bed are included with my adoption.) I really hope that I can find someone willing to give me a second chance. If you are interested in adopting Sadie Pickles, please fill out an application and submit it to Penny Angels Beagle Rescue. Her adoption fee is $225, cash or check. The application is available at www.pennyangelsbeaglerescue.com. If your application is approved, you will be contacted by email or phone and then will complete the adoption process at PetSmart in Mays Landing, NJ on Saturday between 11-2 pm. If you have any questions, contact beagler534@comcast.net or emnase@aol.com, or call Penny Angels Beagle Rescue at 609-965-9476. Thank you!

Story
This sweet dog will win your heart! She was abandoned, and In need of a home. Preferably an active adult or a family with kids and pets. She is high energy.. she does play really well alonwith her toy, which will go with her We are working on leash training, but she needs more practice and would do best in a yard To run. She will not run away even without a fence.! She gets along with everyone, including the neighborhood, dogs and kids and my three cats! She is not an alpha dog should be easy to train. She can be rambunctious as a big puppy and could inadvertently knock small children over but the neighborhood kids play rough with her and she does not bear her teeth. Very fun, loving! I walk her Every few hours to prevent accidents in the house. She loves her crate and it will go to the new owner. An appointment is set to have her vaccinated and spaded as I don’t know her history. She has webbed paws For swimming and loves a bath. Come meet this beautiful sweet puppy!

Not good with kids, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Kai came to us as part of a cruelty investigation by ACPD and ACPO. He came to us starved, body score 1/9. He had a loving home for much of his life but fell on hard times when his owner died. Fortunately, with police intervention, he was rescued and came to our shelter for care and re-homing. He is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and fully vaccinated now. Kai is a good boy. Easy to be around, very calm. However, he is dog selective, so we recommend that he be the only dog in the home. We also recommend a home with no small children. Kai is pretty good on a leash and knows basic commands. Primary Color: Brown Brindle Secondary Color: White Age: 5yrs 11mths 3wks

Download an adoption application here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached. FINN is one of the calmest, kindest souls we have met. He is a loving boy who wants nothing more than to please his humans. FINN is just as kind with dogs as he is with people. He absolutely adores them and is the kind of dog who can fit into any pack. FINN’s amazing disposition and confident nature make it easy to take him to all sorts of places. Plus, he loves adventure and is always up for some fun. He rides well in the car and minds his manners when in public. He is truly an all around wonderful dog. FINN knows to only chew on his things, has never pottied in the house and is well behaved in his crate when his foster mom isn’t home. He is an affectionate, well mannered, loyal dog who will be a great addition to any household. FINN’s furever family is going to be tremendously lucky to call this incredible boy their own! We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience. All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding. Please LIKE Woof River on Facebook!
