Story
Benny is a sweet, loyal dog with so much love to give. He loves cuddling on the couch or with a pile of pillows, playing with his dog siblings, and spending time with his favorite human(s). He's the definition of a velcro dog; he just wants to be by your side. Originally from Arkansas, I fostered and adopted Benny from a rescue in MA in December 2019. Benny does great with female dogs of all sizes and ages but needs slow intros with male dogs. Benny would do best in a home with a female dog or possibly as an only dog. He's on-leash reactive when he sees people and dogs during walks, but he's never bitten or attacked a dog/person. Since moving to Ohio, he's much calmer and far less reactive on walks, and he seems to enjoy the slower pace of Midwest living. He'd probably love a fenced-in backyard. Benny is the sweetest, happiest, most loving dog whose tail is always wagging. You'll be rewarded with all the love, loyalty and snuggles in the world – and some adorable snoring too.

Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
I originally was keeping Marley until her original owner could take her back. However plans changed and they decided they would not come back for her. She is a very sweet, loving, loyal girl. She loves getting all the snuggles she can. It breaks my heart that I can’t keep her forever but she deserves a better life than I can offer. I do not have a yard for her to run and have a very demanding work schedule and she does not get the attention she needs in our home. Due to her owner deciding to leave her and no longer returning contact. I do not have any of her previous vet records. She does not do well with high energy dogs or children. She does do well with dogs that do not interfere much with her personal space. Puppies or dogs constantly wanting to play are not for Marley. She is also crate trained and knows it as “bed”.

Story
Meet Milo, a sweet, energetic, playful, and curious soul! He came to THS through our cruelty department after his owner developed a medical issue. His favorite thing to do is lean against his favorite person for pets and love! Since arriving at THS Milo has worked on perfecting some of his basic obedience, like sit, and would love to learn more! He is also working on his leash skills. He loves a good treat and will do almost anything to get one! Milo is looking for an adult-only home where he can be the only dog! He spent some time in foster care and this is what we learned about him: "Milo is a wonderful dog! He warmed up to my wife and I in a matter of 24 hours. Now we can't give him enough affection! He appears to be housebroken because he has not had one accident since coming home with us. He has been left alone for short periods of time and has never gotten into anything he shouldn't. You can tell he has enjoyed his break from the shelter because he is finally starting to play with toys. Milo knows sit, lay down, and go outside! He would run around and play in the backyard but he is calm once he comes inside! He is a smart boy who quickly picks up on commands. We are really going to miss him!" Interested in meeting this guy? Stop by the shelter today!
