Story
Hilda is very playful and loving, she can be skittish as well. She needs someone who can give her a lot of attention and training. She does have a basic training. She would be perfect match for someone who loves the outdoors and who knows the breed. She is very special and deserves only the best possible owner who can give her an amazing life. Hopefully you are a high energy individual with plenty of time, space, and love for an animal that will reciprocate your love and energy. We prefer someone without other dogs and cats.

Story
Start your year off right, with this adorable, highly energetic 7 year old Lily! She loves to run and play. She is great with kids, cats and other friendly dogs. She loves a good game of tug-a-war! Not very good at playing fetch but will run after the ball. She's looking for a home that will give her cuddles, treats and lots of play time! She is microchipped as well, though she doesn't go far from home. Please I really need someone to take her

Story
Found Harley when she was 6 months old on a Facebook post. She is going to be 9 this year. She is very dog reactive and does not tolerate other animals or kids. She has had a history of cancer (mass cell tumors) but does not seem to effect her in anyway. She also has heart palpitations that also do not effect her every day life. She needs a lot of attention from one person. She can be temperamental at times usually at night-seems to be that she just wants space. She will resource guard bones but if your stern with her she will let you take it. She has become a danger to my older dog that I've had for 12 years. She will come with all her toys. Impact Crate will be included for a$400 fee, the crate was originally$900. She will break out of normal wire crates. She doesn't like any sort of clothes or harnesses, she will run away from you if she sees them. She can be a great dog if she is given the attention she needs. She likes to mess on carpets sometimes but is fine on hard floor.

Story
Boone is a 54 lbs Boxer mix.  He is friendly and seems to be ok with other dogs....he loves to play.  He will need to meet any new housemate prior to adoption being approved. Boone is around 1 yr old.  We do not know how he is with cats or children.  He keeps his kennel area clean for the most part but will have accidents on occasion. If you are interested in Boone please stop at the shelter to meet him and complete an application. Here is a link to hi TikTok video https://www.tiktok.com/@caninemoon/video/7213184098582613294?lang=en 8/9/2023---Boone is now enrolled in our prison training program so anyone interested in him must contact us to schedule an appointment to meet him. ***He is not at the shelter--meeting will occur at the prison. Story
Bo will need a home that is super patient and willing to give him time to decompress.  You will also have to come to the shelter more than once to visit with him. He is fine with our staff but takes time to warm up to ALL new people.  He reacts ok to some dogs but MUST meet and new housemates.  He was in a home prior to coming here, for a short time, and they said he would growl at their children from time to time (which is why they brought him to us).  So we suggest NO children.   Anyone interested in meeting him MUST come to the shelter and complete an application if you decide you would like to be considered.   ***better photos will be posted soon Morrow County Dog Shelter, Mt. Story
Flash is a 1 yr old Pitbull/Boxer mix.  He is fearful and concerned over new people so patience is necessary with him. We suspect this may be a reaction to being abandoned. He was removed from a property after being left alone for several days.  He is playful and loves snacks.  He will walk ok on leash but does pull some.  Flash is young and will need some basic obedience but he does already know some commands. As part of the adoption process we require all dogs to meet your current dogs before adoption is approved. Anyone interested should stop in to meet him and complete an application if interested.
