Story
We found him on a dark highway in the rain, he was dirty, wet and afraid. Couldn't leave him. He's a great house dig. Great with kids, men and women. We have been training him daily while we have him. Needs a good family to be apart of inside their home.

Story
Boomer is a very nice dog. He is on the small side of medium, but he's not small. Just about 30 lbs. Boomer gets along well with ALL humans and "most" dogs, cats and other animals. He isn't super playful, but will always greet you with a wagging tail and a desire to be pet. Boomer will bark when stressed, but is usually calm and loving and easy to take care of. It is unfortunate that we can no longer keep him, but he would make an EXCELLENT pet for a single person or family of any type, size or location. We got Boomer from the Humane Society (that is his micro chip, we do not have access to it) approximately 10 years ago and he was between puppy and adolescent at that time.

Story
Stray; HW+; 3/12; 55lbs; bully mix; 5 yrs old. Arrived pregnant. Sadly, all of her pups died shortly after birth.Volunteer Update July 24: VOTED staff/volunteer FAVORITE! 💖 "I know I keep saying this about Dottie, but what a perfect girll. She is one of the sweetest and most gentle dogs I have ever met. She adopted another dog's puppies as her own and was an awesome mom to them. I have nothing but good to say about her. She is wonderful and so grateful for a bit of love! She is the BEST! Somebody has to be waiting on her! How is she not adopted yet?! She is one of my favorite dogs to take on a walk and give treats! Miss Dottie is all smiles and kisses! LOVE! Dottie has been with us since March when she arrived very pregnant. Sadly, she lost her pups, but she accepted another litter as her own and raised 5 beautiful babies. Her days of mothering are done and she is ready to be YOUR spoiled little lady. You cannot ask for a better companion than Ms. Dottie. She is around 55lbs, 5 years old and heartworm positive. Let's get her out of here, please!

Story
August 31: Do redheads have more fun? Just ask our pretty lady Farrah! Farrah is a super fun, happy girl always on the hunt for a good time. Solid and strapping at 52lbs, she along with her best friends (1 male and 2 female dogs) were seized by the sheriff due to concerns for their overall care. Luckily for Farrah, her only health concern is testing positive for heartworms and is at a good, appropriate weight- which was not the case for all of her friends. We enjoyed Farrah's upbeat personality and her desire to catch that next slice of adventure just right around the corner! Farrah is a very sweet, snuggly, affectionate lady who is generous with her kisses, hip swivels and her playful antics. She did well in testing with other dogs, both male and female. She is confident and eager to meet other dogs and happily trots over to say "hi" with a full, wagging tail and grin on her face. Farrah keeps the good times rolling right along and would be nicely suited in a more active home where she can get out and stretch her legs. Don't forget to have a nice soft spot where she can rest her pretty head and sleek, toned body! TREATED FOR HEART WORMS.

Story
LIQUORICE is in a foster home and so ready for his forever family! With that adorable face and those cute ears, combined with his charming personality, you will love him. He is such a sweet, sweet treat of a dog! He always earns high marks in all the pet categories, across the board. Great with all dogs, a good choice for kids, loves his people and is a great snuggler. Mild mannered with a touch of playfulness, he never meets a stranger. He is such a cute, smaller framed fellow. With his sleek black coat, white chest blaze and athletic frame, he is just stinkin' cute folks! At 42lbs, he is a sturdy guy who loves to run and play but also settles nicely. He quickly makes friends wherever he goes and easily mixes and mingles with dogs and people alike. Kids are immediately drawn to his size and charming personality. He loves being the recipient of their many hugs and kisses. He is simply a happy, super friendly guy, a real prize pet waiting for YOU to take him home furever! He is fostered with many doggie friends, is crate trained, housebroken, walks good on leash, rides fine in the car and greets everyone nicely at adoption events. He is 3 years young, 42lbs and heartworm negative. He’s wonderful! The easiest foster dog I’ve ever had. He loves other animals so much and is sad if he ever goes outside without a friend. He needs to be in a home with other animals. He’s shy with new people but will warm up and loves being pet. He’s very good with crating and will immediately crate when he comes back inside hoping for a treat or food. He’s cat friendly. He just ignores them and will run right by them. He loves toys and will collect them in his crate for later; it’s very cute. I would have to go pull a bunch of them out to put back in the toy box just for them to do it again. (4/2/24)
