Story
We picked up Radar from a family giving away puppies in a business parking lot. He was the runt of a litter of 9 pups. He is now 8 months old and around 85 to 90 pounds. We had no idea he would get so large, which wouldn't be a problem except that it turns out he has resource guarding issues around food and sometimes his humans. I have an 11 year old Yorkie that he almost seriously injured or possibly would have killed. He gets along great with other dogs as long as there is no food around. I have started some training. He is very food motivated (obviously 🙄) and comes 90% of the time when I call him. He sits and waits for short periods. I am currently teaching him to not run out the door when it is opened and he is doing well with that. I very much want to keep him but my situation is such that it would be safer for our other pets to rehome him.
