Story
Hello, I am Toby Keith. I am as awesome as my name. I started off as a very shy boy, you would too if you were a stray like me. I am a little bit skittish still, but I have come a long way. All that should mean to you is that I am observant and I like to know my surroundings, some might call that a skill! I am currently at the FIDO training program where I am learning all of my basic commands. On top of that, I can say my prayers and mic drop for special tricks. I get along quite well with other dogs and I can't get enough of play time with my friends. I can be very snuggly and don’t quite understand the issue of there not being enough room on the couch for me. That math just doesn’t quite math for me. If you want a charming and well-trained boy in your life, look no further! Hit up the girls at HHS and come bust me out of prison.

Story
Hey! Down here! Fine I'll jump up to you! Hi! I'm Koda! Too much? Sorry. I'll sit down and show you what a good boy I am. Starting over....Hi. I'm Koda and I reeeaaallly want to be your loyal companion. I get pretty excited when I see new people and new things, like toys and friends, but once I have a chance to check things out, I'm good. I am a super sweet and affectionate boy who just loves life! I am super toy motivated and can get a bit cray-cray when the squeaky sound hits my ears. A little bit of behavior training can be helpful in teaching me patience. The ladies here at the shelter have already begun with my training and I am now in the FIDO training program and I am learning quickly. I am ready to join your household and be your friend! I am really good with older kids and have also been tolerant of a cat. Littles just need to know my boundaries and my high toy motivation. Watcha think?? I am ready when you are!

Story
They call me Myrtle the Turtle and I'm looking to crawl onto my throne...AKA your lap. I was brough back to Heartland due to my old owners health. I'm a sweet girl who LOVES, LOVE, LOVES belly rubs and BIG STUFFED TOYS that I can drag around. I like to meet other dogs, but I am not looking to share belly rubs every night. I'm a bit on a nosey girl and will tolerate any new situation for just enough time for me to figure out what is going on, you call it gossip- I call it entertainment. I love couch cuddles, I do well on walks, and I snort like a little piggy when I am excited. I am a goofy goober when I play and truly enjoy some relaxing sunbathing. I'd love to be a new addition to your adult only family. Call the staff and let them know you want to meet me!

Story
Woof! I'm Nukka, your future best friend and not-so-little shadow! I'm a big, loveable girl who sticks to my humans like glue. Which is a good thing, as my leash manners are a bit of a mess. I'm always happy and have a few extra pounds of pure love (who can resist treats?). I know how to sit like a champ and even do a little dance for snacks! I am all the way potty trained and get along with children and cats who are sweet. Sadly, my current owner can't take care of me due to health issues, so I'm on the lookout for a new home. If you need a joyful, slightly chubby dance partner, I'm your girl!

Story
Hi there! I'm Annie, a sweet bundle of joy with a knack for Houdini-style escapes! I have a bit of separation anxiety, so I need a patient human who understands my quirks. This is something the wonderful ladies at HHS can talk you through so you are set up with success. Exercise works great! I'm super social and playful, and I simply can't get enough love! I'm 100% potty trained and great with kids – I don't even charge for babysitting! I walk wonderfully on a leash and will do just about anything to spend quality time with my favorite people. If you're looking for a loving, playful, and occasionally sneaky companion, I'm your girl! Let's make every day an adventure together! I promise I am nothing but a pure heart full of love. I am only here because my old owners were unable to be home with me as often as they would have liked.

Howdy, I am Jackson. I had a ruff start to life, but I refuse to let that get me down! I am a loveable snuggle bug who enjoys playing or being with humans, dogs, and cats. What can I say, I just love to play! I am a very smart and eager-to-learn kind of boy. I know a few commands, though I would love to get my college dog-ploma!
