Story
Mandy is the star of the show. She wants all your attention, even if she sometimes has a funny way of showing it. She may start out shy, but once she warms up to you, you are the only one she’ll want. Here’s what her foster family has to say: Mandy is doing great. She sleeps with me now and is actually quite the social cat. She wants to be around her human even if the human is cleaning the bathroom while she watches from inside the tub. She loves being brushed and given belly rubs. She doesn't like being picked up. I tried only once and her body went stiff. No hissing thank God for weeks now. She doesn't run when I walk past her. I have to beg her to go to sleep otherwise she wants constant attention whenever I am working as well. Her meows are the cutest, especially the purr/meow she has and all the others. She is able to communicate so well as to if she is mad or wants attention or is in a playful mood from her body language and meows running around the house with naughty eyes. She kicks me during her sleep and also sleep talks :p

Story
Rocket was rescued from a parking garage she was living in. She is extremely social and does well with children and dogs, once acclimated. Unfortunately she does best being the only cat in the house. The reason we are trying to re-home her is because we recently had to take in our late mother’s 2 cats and unfortunately after 5 months we just are not getting anywhere. Rocket deserves a fun and loving home where she is the only cat. If you are looking for a great companion please inquire.

Story
Meet Gracie who was born in April. She is a gorgeous long hair calico, with some cute orange stripes, who can often be seen arching her back before jumping on a toy or wrestling. She loves to play and chase other kittens. She also enjoys human interaction, always rushing to meet people and immediately purring when held and pet. Gracie is very curious and ready to check out new toys or even the vacuum cleaner! She is vaccinated, treated for worms and fleas, litter box trained and will be spayed and microchipped when she goes home. Gracie is the sweetest of sweet kittens. Please see our website at https://ohlonehumanesociety.org/fostering-and-adoption/ and click on the ADOPTION APPLICATION button to submit your application, and let us know if you are looking for a particular kitten. We will let you know as soon as our Kitten Foster Program Manager reviews the applications received.    All of our kittens must be spayed or neutered in our care before adoption can be finalized. Kittens require a $150 minimum adoption fee to help us fund our program.   We are looking forward to your application submission.  August 18, 2024, 4:58 pm

Story
Meet Nigem, the charming cat who's been through a lot but still has a heart full of love. Estimated to be about 8 years old, he's got a majestic look with his fluffy fur that makes him seem like royalty. Nigem's story began on the streets, where life was tough until Woody rescue swooped in and brought him to safety. When he first came to us, he was scared of everything and spent a lot of time hiding. But as time went on, he started to trust us more and now he loves getting cuddles and scratches on his head and neck. Despite his fancy appearance, Nigem is a playful guy. He enjoys chasing things and looking out the window at the world passing by. He's still a bit jumpy around loud noises and new people, but he's getting braver every day. Nigem is a sweetheart who just wants your attention and affection. He's definitely enjoying a cozy indoor life after spending so much time outside. He loves to take long naps during the day. He's easy to care for and never causes any trouble. Please submit an adoption application if you are interested: https://forms.gle/JNvQG3Dva96z8oMs9. All cats and kittens will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and complete FVRCP vaccination prior to adoption.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Princess with a Big Heart & TailMercedes is a fun loving princess looking for her forever home. Mercedes is initially shy and it takes a few days for her to take over the house. Then she will own the place and will tell you so. She is quite vocal when she wants to play and at meal times. She loves chasing after feather and other wand toys. She requires you to participate. She naps on her own and plays with her humans. Mercedes wants to be a lap cat but she needs to know you first. Initially she prefers to sit next to her human while they read or watched television. She enjoys brushing. It's needed to care for all that fluff. That fur makes her look larger than she is. After years as a single cat, Mercedes is not prepared to share her human with another cat. She truly wants to be the princess in the castle. When Mercedes returned to us she received a complete medical check up and updated vaccines. Unfortunately the vet found two problems. Mercedes has a grade 2-3 heart murmur and mild to moderate hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. She receives twice daily oral medication that she takes without complaining. Fortunately Mercedes is completely asymptomatic and enjoys and active life. Her heart problems do not stop her from running around just like a healthy cat. Come meet Mercedes and her tail. It has a life of its own. Here is her kitten bio: Mercedes was named after the car under which she was found. She was a scrappy little girl at 1.5 lbs, ready to take on all comers. With some TLC and regular meals, Mercedes no longer hides under the bed and prefers being with people. She knows being an extrovert is a lot more fun. While she plays well alone, attacking her toys and packing paper, she prefers interacting with her human friends getting them to move the wand toys and using their legs as launch pads. After playtime, a lap is a good place to crash. Mercedes is vocal only at meal time. She has the cutest “mew.” She also likes a solid routine: food, play, nap, cuddles Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. To Adopt one of our Cats or Kittens, please fill out an Online Adoption Application on our website  https://www.13thstcats.org/info/adoption If the animal bio says that they are a "Courtesy Listing", the contact information will be included in the animal bio for you to reach out to them directly. Thank you for wanting to Adopt! -------------- 13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose. We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat August 19, 2024, 11:17 pm
