The Lonely Hearts Club is for kitties who are having a harder time getting adopted, weather it be due to age or medical needs. Smokey is a sweet senior, 12 yrs old, shy at first, but so loving once he trusts you. His bloodwork (attached) is excellent. His owner, a fragile diabetic, fell and shattered a femur. She is now a hospice patient. Smokey and Noel were alone in the home, cared for by their long-time pet sitter. Smokey needs a home. He has lived with many cats and dogs. He’ll never need a dental as he has no teeth after a recent dental. Smokey just needs a quiet place to be and show his love. Currently at the EAPL Cat Adoption Center at Chow Down in Evergreen. Claudia has lived a lifetime in just 11 years. We first met her over eight years ago when a TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) effort was conducted for her colony, which is why she has an ear tip. Not long after, Claudia found a loving home with her human dad, where they shared an unbreakable bond—she would curl up and sleep on his chest every night. For over seven wonderful years, Claudia was her dad’s devoted companion. Sadly, when he passed away. Out of state relatives came to clear out the home and found Claudia hiding under her owner’s bed. She was so frightened we had to trap her to retrieve her. It took a while for Claudia to relax and show her sweet self as she struggled with the loss, as any beloved pet would. In her foster home she was given the time and space to grieve, heal, and slowly open up to new people. Her foster describes how “Claudia has blossomed. She has begun to meow for affection, play with her mouse toys, and reveal her sweet personality. She loves to snuggle close, especially enjoying gentle tummy rubs as she falls asleep on her back, purring contentedly. She is curious about the foster’s resident cats and seeks their attention as well. Given all the transitions she has been through recently, she will need a patient and understanding forever home that allows her time to adjust. But once she feels safe, she will shower her new family with endless love. Claudia has a heart full of love, ready to find a forever home that will cherish and support her as she continues to flourish. Currently at the EAPL Cat Adoption Center at Chow Down in Evergreen. ~Foster to Adopt~Hi friends, my name is Beau—the most handsome, dashing, and charming 15-year-old black cat you will ever meet.I have been to MaxFund twice. The first time was because my previous owner was moving into a memory care facility. I eventually found my new owner and thought things were going well, until one day I ended up here again. But, after several months I was lucky enough to find a loving foster home! Sadly, my fosters were unable to care for me long term so I am back at the shelter. Though, I am shy at first, I eventually warm up to people. I am very playful (for an old guy) and I never met a wand toy or laser that didn’t instantly get my attention. My most recent foster mom carried me around like a clutch, which is funny because I didn’t like to be picked up at the shelter. In fact, I really started to come out of my shell in my foster home. I even got along with the family dog!Every cat’s wish is for a forever home with a forever family. Would you consider taking in a sweet old guy?

Hello friends! My name is Jackson, I am a 14 year old, neutered male, medium-haired cat. I was relinquished to MaxFund October 2023 by no fault of my own, and now I am looking for my fur-ever home!I`m a beautiful orange and white short-haired guy with adorably long hears and mesmerizing green eyes. One of the staff members says I have eyes like beautiful sea glass. Don`t you think I kind of look like an orange Creamsicle??I am a sugary sweet, easy-going boy who loves to be brushed and picked up. Also, I like tummy rubs .I`m a purring machine - I purr like a motorboat. I lived very successfully with an energetic, talkative small dog. At the shelter, I have spent time around my cat buddies and we all get along just fine! If you want a gentle, easy-going boy, that`s me!One important thing about me is that I am diabetic. I require twice daily insulin injections and must eat special food. Sadly for me, I cannot have any table food but that`s ok, just give me extra snuggles and we`ll call it even. I am available as Short-Term Foster with intent to adopt.
