Story
Name: Graham Breed: Domestic Long Hair Sex: Neutered Male Age: 6 years Weight: 13 lbs Has Medical Needs Good with dogs? Yes, with a slow and proper introduction. Good with cats? He previously lived with other cats and enjoyed their companionship. He’d be thrilled to have a friend who is also FeLV-positive! Good with kids? Not Tested but may do well with kids that respect his boundaries. Energy level: Low, he loves to nap and cuddle. Medical needs: Graham is a special kitty because he is living with Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). While this means he requires some extra care, he is still capable of leading a happy and full life. FeLV can affect a cat's immune system, so it's essential that he live indoors and receive regular veterinary check-ups to monitor his health. Please contact adopt@pawscoadoptions.org if you have questions about his medical needs. Animal Characteristics: Graham is a big, beautiful, sweet boy who deserves a loving, peaceful home where he can be pampered. He was abandoned and put outside to fend for himself when his prior owner became ill. Graham may be shy at first and seek out cozy boxes to snuggle into, then he is quite affectionate as he warms up to new humans. He will wind around your legs as you walk and rub against you! He is gentle, enjoys being petted and snuggling, and purrs with happiness. He’s also very talkative and will meow adorably for attention and company! Why should you consider adopting an FELV cat? Adopting a FeLV (feline leukemia virus) cat is an act of pure love and compassion that can bring immense joy to your life! These special kitties, despite their unique challenges, are just as playful, loving, and deserving of a forever home as any other cat. Here's why you should consider welcoming one into your heart and home: 🌟 A Unique Bond: FeLV cats often form incredibly close bonds with their humans, cherishing every moment of love and attention you give them. 💖 They Deserve a Second Chance: FeLV-positive cats are sometimes overlooked in shelters, but they have so much life and love to share! By adopting one, you're giving them the chance to thrive in a safe and caring environment. 😻 Loving Companions: FeLV-positive cats are just as affectionate and full of personality as other cats. They’ll fill your days with purrs, cuddles, and endless cuteness. ✨ Quality of Life Matters: These cats might have a shorter lifespan, but what truly matters is the quality of the time you spend together. Your home can be their sanctuary, where they can live happily and comfortably. 🏡 A Special Kind of Heroism: Adopting a FeLV-positive cat means becoming a champion for the underdog (or undercat!) and showing the world that every life, no matter the challenges, is worth celebrating. By choosing to adopt an FeLV cat, you’re not just rescuing them—you’re making your life brighter and more meaningful. They’ll teach you lessons in resilience, gratitude, and unconditional love. 💕 Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. You can also contact my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org if you have questions. I look forward to meeting you!

Story
Meet Cersi, a beautiful medium-haired tortie with a sweet and gentle nature. Though she may be a bit timid at first, once she feels comfortable, Cersi will show you her loving and affectionate side. She’s looking for a calm, patient home with older children who can give her the space and time she needs to build trust. Cersi has lived with other cats before and would likely do well in a multi-cat household, making her a great companion for feline friends. She’s the type of cat who will form a special bond with her family and enjoy quiet moments of companionship. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle soul who just needs a little extra time to settle in, Cersi will be the perfect addition to your home! What I Need In a Home:* Older children recommended

Story
Please contact Kristin (cats@arrcolorado.org) for more information about this pet.  Howdy! My name is Lupton, but all my friends call me Hiss-Hiss. Why you ask? Because when I came to live with my foster family I was super nervous and hissed at everything. I was rescued from under a trailer in Greeley: I'd never been inside before and didn't know what to do! After a few days I realized that foster mom wasn't so bad (occasional hisses for good measure). I learned that I LOVE to play and I'm a really good hunter (feather toys are the BEST). I also learned that I like pets and scritches, especially on my chin and ears. I may take a little while to gain my confidence and show you my goofy, silly self - but I promise I'm worth the wait! I love other kitties and even dogs! I think I'd do OK with older kiddos that understand I need a lot of patience and time to feel comfy. Are you my forever home? Born October 2024.  Children 12 and over. See more on IG @rockymountainfosterco  foster: ab Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.  These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.  These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for kittens (6 months & under)    $125 for cats (older than 6 months)    $75 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application  here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
~Foster to Adopt~Hi friends, my name is Beau—the most handsome, dashing, and charming 15-year-old black cat you will ever meet.I have been to MaxFund twice. The first time was because my previous owner was moving into a memory care facility. I eventually found my new owner and thought things were going well, until one day I ended up here again. But, after several months I was lucky enough to find a loving foster home! Sadly, my fosters were unable to care for me long term so I am back at the shelter. Though, I am shy at first, I eventually warm up to people. I am very playful (for an old guy) and I never met a wand toy or laser that didn’t instantly get my attention. My most recent foster mom carried me around like a clutch, which is funny because I didn’t like to be picked up at the shelter. In fact, I really started to come out of my shell in my foster home. I even got along with the family dog!Every cat’s wish is for a forever home with a forever family. Would you consider taking in a sweet old guy?

Story
Hello friends! My name is Jackson, I am a 14 year old, neutered male, medium-haired cat. I was relinquished to MaxFund October 2023 by no fault of my own, and now I am looking for my fur-ever home!I`m a beautiful orange and white short-haired guy with adorably long hears and mesmerizing green eyes. One of the staff members says I have eyes like beautiful sea glass. Don`t you think I kind of look like an orange Creamsicle??I am a sugary sweet, easy-going boy who loves to be brushed and picked up. Also, I like tummy rubs .I`m a purring machine - I purr like a motorboat. I lived very successfully with an energetic, talkative small dog. At the shelter, I have spent time around my cat buddies and we all get along just fine! If you want a gentle, easy-going boy, that`s me!One important thing about me is that I am diabetic. I require twice daily insulin injections and must eat special food. Sadly for me, I cannot have any table food but that`s ok, just give me extra snuggles and we`ll call it even. I am available as Short-Term Foster with intent to adopt. Please reach out to fostercats@maxfund.org if you want more information about me!If you think I would be a good fit for your home, please come to the shelter to meet me! The shelter hours are Sunday - Monday, & Wednesday - Saturday (Closed Tuesday) 9:30 - 4:30, Closed 12:00 - 1:00 for lunch.

Story
Hello! My name is Whisper, I am an almost 4 month old, spayed female, long-haired kitten. I was found as a stray January 2025 and brought to MaxFund, now I am looking for my fur-ever home! I am a typical kitten: I LOVE to play and I LOVE attention! Please pet me and play with me and hold me! I also have a lot of energy that I need to get out. I may play bite you, I haven`t learned that people don`t like that. I need to be taught manners and to be gentle with my teeth and claws. I make up for it in cuteness!I had to get one of my legs removed, that doesn`t stop me though! I am learning balance and how to walk on 3 legs.If you think I would be a good fit for your home, please come to the shelter to meet me!The shelter hours are Sunday - Monday, & Wednesday - Saturday (Closed Tuesday) 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Closed 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM for lunch.
