She had been surrendered to an animal shelter by her family because they were moving. When she came to Last Day Dog Rescue, she was extremely fearful, wanting to hiss at and scratch everyone. After allowing her time to decompress in the fosters home, she has mellowed out somewhat, and is friendlier, wanting to be petted and jump up into your lap! She is a long haired beautiful calico and enjoys being stroked gently. She prefers not to be picked up and held though. Elvira appears large because of all her fur, but weighs about 11-1/2 lbs and is estimated to be around 3 years old. Her foster has 3 other cats and a dog and she pretty much ignores them. She and the male car will hiss and growl at each other occasionally. She is a curious and independent cat! We recommend a quieter home for Elvira with no other pets, no children (or older kids only), and a family who will be patient with her. She is spayed, is up-to-date on vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is FeLV/FIV negative. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. She is very affectionate and will swish around your feet, head bump you and lean into you. She loves pets and may even give you a little kiss, after she decides she trusts you. Whisper is a young cat and when she really wants attention she may give a little nip or swat now and then. She has a lot of cattitude . She is curious and likes to know what you are doing and nose around near you. She loves playing with toys. . Whisper is looking for someone special who will be patient with her and give her time to trust. She would do best in a non chaotic environment. Whisper is spayed and is up to date on vaccines. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Grace Hopper is such beautiful girl!  We believe she is a mix of Norwegian Forest cat and a Siberian. She was rescued last summer when someone noticed that she was crossing a busy road regularly. Grace deserves a safe, loving home so badly, who knows what this sweetie has gone through.  She loves string toys and to look outside.  She whips her fluffy tail around like a feather duster when she walks.  She will “make biscuits” for 20 minutes before settling down for a nap on her Foster’s lap.  She is spicy, but affectionate. She would be happiest in a quieter home  as an  only pet with a male human (s), which we think is kinda cute.  Her new family needs to be patient and knowledgeable about cats. She’s been through a lot and is still so sweet!  Grace really has alot of love to giv e (see video).  You will fall in love with her when you meet her.  All of our cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested for FIV/FELV , and up to date on vaccinations including rabies, distemper, and dewormer. Her original owner had to move into a nursing home and could not keep her. We want to find her the most special home as she is so deserving and sweet. She would prefer to be the only cat because she gets nervous around other cats but loves to be close to her human! She needs a cat savvy person that has lots of love to offer because of the changes she has gone through after losing her human. Whoever adopts this sweetie will be so happy and so loved by her. Annalisa is so unique and beautiful with big green eyes.  This precious 4 1l2 year old girl was left behind when her owner moved (along with another cat we are trying to get). She will take time to settle in, as she has been through a lot in her short life. You can tell she really hasn’t had the love and attention she needed. If you take it slow with her and she knows she’s ok, she will come up to you and rub her head on you asking for pets.  She is too cute though because when she is done with you petting her, she will push your hand away. After only a few days with her foster mommy, she could already kiss her and pet her, and her she purrs a lot too. She is already a lap cat after just a few weeks once she knows she can trust you.  She really needs to be an only pet too. Looking for a furry friend who's as mysterious as the night and as soft as a moonbeam? Then I'm your girl! I'm Francis, a gorgeous black long-haired beauty who's already been spayed, vaccinated, and is up to date on all my shots. Plus, I've tested double negative for all those scary kitty diseases. I may be a bit shy at first, but once I warm up to you, I'll shower you with love and affection—I'm a total sucker for pets and cuddles! While I'm not exactly thrilled with dogs, I get along just fine with other feline friends. At about a year old, I'm still a curious kitty at heart, and I love exploring and gazing out the window, watching the world go by.
