She was rescued last summer when someone noticed that she was crossing a busy road regularly. Grace deserves a safe, loving home so badly, who knows what this sweetie has gone through.  She loves string toys and to look outside.  She whips her fluffy tail around like a feather duster when she walks.  She will “make biscuits” for 20 minutes before settling down for a nap on her Foster’s lap.  She is spicy, but affectionate. She would be happiest in a quieter home  as an  only pet with a male human (s), which we think is kinda cute.  Her new family needs to be patient and knowledgeable about cats. She’s been through a lot and is still so sweet!  Grace really has alot of love to giv e (see video).  You will fall in love with her when you meet her.  All of our cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested for FIV/FELV , and up to date on vaccinations including rabies, distemper, and dewormer. He wouldn’t have made it another winter if we wouldn’t have saved him. We are so grateful he is safe and happy inside now!! Because he was outside and had to fend for himself, he is FIV positive, however, he is completely fine and has no symptoms and probably will continue to stay that way for the rest of his life. He is such a sweetie and is very laid back! He is so beautiful and loves to eat, so he’s a bit chubby. He loves to snuggle at night. Scruffy likes to talk too. Her original owner had to move into a nursing home and could not keep her. We want to find her the most special home as she is so deserving and sweet. Annalisa is so unique and beautiful with big green eyes.  This precious 4 year old girl was left behind when her owner moved (along with another cat we are trying to get). She will take time to settle in, as she has been through a lot in her short life, but if you take it slow with her and she knows she’s ok, she will come up to you and rub her head on you asking for pets.  After only a few days with her foster mommy, she can already kiss her and pet her anywhere, but when Annalisa has had enough, she’s done.  She will most likely be a lap cat who sleeps with you from what we can tell so far.  We think she will be happier as an only pet, but would probably be ok with another cat if it is a very chill one and with a proper (slow) introduction.  She should be fine with older calmer children who can give her the time to learn to trust them and know she’s safe and home.  All of our cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested for FIV/FELV , and up to date on vaccinations including rabies, distemper, and dewormer. Spruce~born~November 2018Spruce is a gorgeous cat. She looks like she is a Nebelung, which is sometimes called a Longhaired Russian Blue.Spruce and Hickory are a bonded pair who were rescued from a hoarding situation. Despite that they are very sweet and peoply.Hickory and Spruce probably aren`t related but they definitely consider each other family and we`re going to make sure they get to stay together.Spruce is a super-floofy gray girl who loves to cuddle. Humans make the best furniture, right? And if you give her some head scritches she`ll reward you with her Geiger counter purring.While she comes across as very chill Sprucie takes an over-the-counter calming aid to prevent litter box issues.Note: Hickory and Spruce currently live in a foster home with several other cats. Some of them they get along with and some they don`t. She had been surrendered to an animal shelter by her family because they were moving. When she came to Last Day Dog Rescue, she was extremely fearful, wanting to hiss at and scratch everyone. After allowing her time to decompress in the fosters home, she has mellowed out somewhat, and is friendlier, wanting to be petted and jump up into your lap! She is a long haired beautiful calico and enjoys being stroked gently. She prefers not to be picked up and held though. Elvira appears large because of all her fur, but weighs about 11-1/2 lbs and is estimated to be around 3 years old. Her foster has 3 other cats and a dog and she pretty much ignores them. She and the male car will hiss and growl at each other occasionally. She is a curious and independent cat! We recommend a quieter home for Elvira with no other pets, no children (or older kids only), and a family who will be patient with her. She is spayed, is up-to-date on vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is FeLV/FIV negative.
