Story
I am quite the traveler! When we lost our home in Florida during Hurricane Ian, we came to the PNW to find a new place to call home. However, recovering from the financial loss has been tough on my mom and we've been staying with her friends. We're grateful for a roof over us but I've been cooped up in one bedroom for way too long because the resident cat is very hostile to me! Mom figured I'd be better in a home of my own, especially since I've been Feline Leukemia (FeLV) positive since I was born. It was thought I had shed the virus but I guess not. That means I need to be your only kitty or I could live with another kitty that has FeLV if they want company! I'm a very sweet girl and have a few tricks I like to try. I like to try to get the top off the treat jar with my paws. When I think it's time to get mom up, I try to nip her nose to tell her it's time to wake up. I also try to straighten her hair by pulling at the crown. I loved my prior housemates. Jody, 90 lb German Shepherd and Domino, the 14-year-old male cat. It takes me a little time to feel secure and warm up but I've gotten so much better since traveling by car from Florida and being confined for the past couple of months! If you have room in your heart for a sweet girl and no other cats, or one like me, fill out at application and let's meet to see what we think of each other! You won't be sorry!August 19, 2024, 6:18 am

Story
This young tuxedo lady was just an adolescent herself when she was taken in by a good Samaritan before the snowstorm, and found to be pregnant. She had her babies on Leap Day (Feb 29th), has raised them successfully and is now looking for her forever home. She is sweet and likes attention but can be a little spicy, too. Maybe it was just hormones, but she may not be a good choice for small children. She would also love to be your one and only feline! She is now spayed, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and vaccinated and ready for her new home.August 19, 2024, 6:18 am

Story
Shadow Fax was brought to us with four kittens. She had guardians that provided as much protection as they could but live in Hockinson and is not a safe spot for her to go back to. She has a healed head injury and a bite wound on her leg which we suspect contributes to an extreme overreaction to fear. The source of fear may come from wildlife, outside human activities, dog barking, anything that she sees as threatening her safety. When she feels under threat, she is destructive while trying to escape(blinds, screens, other property in the way of her means of escape)and will bite if you try to control her when she is in this state. She has the ability to bond with people and will then tolerate being picked up and handled, purring even …but when she’s afraid, she is fierce. Over there months, she has acclimated to a home environment but hovers around the edges, checking the view outside at all the windows and coming forward when meal time. She is now much more comfortable about being approached by a trusted human and picked up. She adores the male cat in the household. We understand she is an accomplished mouser so, as much as it pains us, we are looking for a barn, shop or catio where she can land or if you are willing to give her a long adjustment period, a house setting. We think it best if she had the companionship of another cat or colony. If Shadow Fax seems like a cat you could accept into your life, please go to sccpets.com and fill out an app. She is spayed and vaccinated. Spread the word also….Thank you.August 19, 2024, 6:18 am

Good with dogs, Good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi, my name is Penny - and that would be short for Pennywise - yes I am a boy kitty. I am a playful guy and maybe sometimes, a bit much for my human parents. They think I might be better with someone that can play with me more and teach me some of those things they call 'cat manners'. I love attention, but sometimes I get a bit over stimulated and bite. I would probably not be good for the younger kiddos that might not be so good at reading my signs. I am pretty entertaining though, because I even play fetch with my toys. I do ok with dogs - sometimes it is about the introduction (and also the age and breed of the dog) I havent been around cats for a while. I have lived strictly indoor my whole life and that suits me just fine. I will be brought current on my vaccines and microchipped as a part of the adoption process. And in case you are wondering, I am very good with my litterbox.August 19, 2024, 6:18 am

Story
So, I thought my brother, Hadley, and our roommate, Scooter, had a great life going but then our dad passed away. We've been so sad and scared but a nice neighbor took care of us until SCC could bring us into foster care. Both Hadley and I were bottle babies 4 years ago with SCC and now we're looking for another home, hopefully together or with other kitty friends. If you can handle 3 cats, Scooter would love to come with us! He's like an older brother. I love attention but I am a little more shy at first than my brother. I am a beautiful, petite long-hair tabby girl. I've been spayed, microchipped, tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV - all when I was young - and now I've gotten my shots all updated again. I'm ready to come meet you and have you fall in love with me, and maybe brother and housemate! Please fill out the adoption application at www.sccpets.com and we'll set up a meeting for all and see what happens!August 19, 2024, 6:18 am
