Story
Annie was dropped off in the middle of the night at Mom and her husband's place in Silverton around 8 years ago. My mother loved and welcomed her into their home. My mother has dementia and is moving from a residential independent facility to an assisted care/memory care facility. She could not take her cat, Annie.   I welcomed Annie in our home in June hoping to find her a forever home to enjoy her senior years. My husband and I are embarking on a year travel and cannot take Annie. When I had Annie's teeth cleaned in September the vet indicated Annie is possibly around 13 years old.  She is healthy and feels frisky in the morning. During the warm months Annie runs to the back door ready to spend the day in the backyard soaking up the sun. She loves to sit on my husband's lap and is always ready to be brushed. She is a little stinker and does not enjoy having her nails clipped.   Since we are now in the winter months her favorite spot seems to be in front of the fire. Annie is spayed. She is an indoor cat that will enjoy summer outside breaks.  Annie and is both loving and independent. She is still playful. I just breaks my heart to find a home for Annie.   A senior home is preferred.  Annie lives in Silverton with her family and her adoption fee is $50.   This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Your information will be forwarded to the owner for follow-ups and meeting arrangement.  Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the cats in our care. Story
Magpie is a sweet, mischievous cat that loves nothing more in the world than treats. Once shy about petting, he’s since become a big fan after learning it often leads to treats and attention. He now solicits petting with the most adorable leg rubbing, following his humans around the room asking for them. Even though he’s taller than his siblings, Magpie is still very much a kitten and acts accordingly. He’s incredibly playful and energetic, often living up to his name by flying through the air while pursuing his cat dancer.   Once playtime is over, though, Magpie loves his naps and takes them in the most adorable poses you’ve ever seen. If you’re lucky, he’ll even cuddle up to you while getting his beauty rest, and he’s been known to tour a human lap or two. Magpie is a natural caretaker to humans and cats alike, but he’d be best in a home with other cats. Magpie is very good with other kitties and spends most of his day grooming them, playing with them, cuddling them, and comforting them if they’re down. He has had friendly interactions with the household dog and may do well in a home with one, but he’d like a feline friend to hang out with to balance out the canine.   Magpie has lived in a home with older children and adults. He is still learning how to play gently and he can be shy about being lifted up and held. For this reason, a home with older, cat savvy children would be best. Magpie is also prone to making his own entertainment if things get dull, so he needs a lot of playtime and humans that don’t mind doing a little cat proofing around the house.  This cat is indoor only and he lives in Sandy with his foster family.  Rehoming fee is $50   This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Story
Oscar is an extremely friendly, curious and cuddly cat. He loves to spend all his time with the humans, greets you when you get home, headbutts your leg when you are in the bathroom, asks for pets when you are on the couch, demands lap time if you work from home and generally wants to keep you company and share your food, if you are having meat and or diary.   Oscar has moved to a couple houses with us, he takes no time to settle in and establishes his routine, once he's set he likes it to stay the same. He doesn't try to eat plants or knock your things over/off the counter, he enjoys play with plastic straws and laser pointer on occasions.   Every cat got their quirks, and Oscar got a few too. He will pee on pet beds that has walls, so he only has blankets or mats for beds, and that goes for other pets in the house too if there are any. He likes to make his presence known(through medium to loud meowing) anytime he enters a room, jumps on to the bed, before his dinner time, and after he uses the litter box, and sometimes just for good measure making sure you didn't forget him, he will meow at the top of his lungs to no one in particular.   He does not like being left alone for too long without human company, an overnight away is okay, more than a night he would like a cat sitter to visit for 1hr or preferably more, if left alone for too long he might poop outside the litter box or knock over your flower vase. He also likes to find and chew things that are soft silicon textured, couple be a baby bottle nipple, could be a cup cover, so keep them where he can't get to. He would be a great addition to your household if you are someone that enjoys a talkative/attentive and loving kitty.   Oscar has all his shots, never missed an annual check up and has his teeth cleaned every 6-months. We think he is best suited for families with no kids or older kids, big or small family as long as someone is always free for some lap time and scratches. We have 3 big cat trees, two litter boxes, one carrier, cat food, automatic feeder, flea meds and supplements that we would love to go with him to this new family. Oscar lives in Portland with his owners and his adoption fee is $150.   This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Hi, I'm the regal and dignified Leonard! I'm a fluffy friendly muffin maker. I love to play when I'm in the mood! I was previously hit by a car some years ago but I'm fully recovered. I have seasonal and food allergies so I need to eat a prescription food. I might be ok with another cat but I am on a strict diet of a prescription food.I'm very chill and I even tolerate belly rubs! I love to jump up high and look out windows. I'm in a foster home so if you would like to meet me please fill out an adoption application at www.animalaidpdx.org.My estimated birthdate is 2/7/2020.

Story
Meow! I'm the handsome and wise Merlin! I was rescued by a nice family after being fed outside for many months. I have a beautiful fluffy tail. I seem ok hanging out with other cats but haven't wanted to play or interact with them much. I would probably prefer to be an only cat. I enjoy people and sitting next to people. I'm a mellow guy and like petting but have some boundaries around being pet on my back and tail. I love food, especially wet food!My estimated birthdate is 10/1/2021.

Story
Meow meow! I'm the calm and loving Farah! I'm such a chill cat and I love all people. I adore looking lovingly into your eyes while you pet me. I'm very gentle and I don't make a mess or shed a lot even though I have long hair. I love wet food. I'm ok with other respectful calm cats it seems.I was surrendered when my person couldn't afford my care. I was skinny and had a wound on my neck from flea allergies. My wound is completely healed up but I might need good quality flea medicine regularly. I have basically no teeth left after having a dental. I feel so much better after having those bad teeth removed! I have a little bit of arthritis in my hips and tail but it doesn't stop me from lounging on the top of my favorite cat tree. I have very very early kidney disease which does not need any treatment currently.I have so much love to give and I'm ready for my forever home!My estimated birthdate is 11/1/2014.

Story
Meet Mojito Cocktail! Mojito is a regal medium haired black panther with big golden eyes! Her foster mom affectionately calls her Momo! She is truly majestic looking! She’s an independent little girl who’s happy to do her own thing and prefers the company of other cats. Momo loves lounging in cozy spots and observing the world around her with those big, thoughtful eyes. She’s not one for loud or sudden movements, but with patience and a calm, quiet environment, she’ll show her true sweet personality! She is a total purr machine once comfortable and will eagerly seek out her human for pets! Momo is also very smart and a quick learner. She is extremely food motivated! She would sell her right arm for a Churu treat haha! This shy beauty would be an ideal fit for a calm, cat-savvy home with other cats, where she can settle in at her own pace and form bonds at her own speed. Momo prefers the company of a other kitties so if you’re looking to grow your pack, she is eager to join! Momo is in an amazing foster home that is teaching her that humans can be kind! She is currently fostered with her brother (Cosmo) as well as several resident cats and dogs. She currently lives in a quieter adult home and does really well! We think she would excel in a similar type home environment where she can give all her love to one or two people! If you're experienced with shy kitties and have the time and love to offer Momo, she’ll repay you with a deep, quiet bond that will last a lifetime! Don’t miss out on this stunning little girl!
