Story
Milo is just the ultimate cat! He's playful, he demands affection (but only when he wants it), enjoys long naps in the sun, and will become your child's best friend. Milo came to us more than a year ago from a family who'd bit off more than they could chew with a new kitten and a very cat-enthusiastic large breed dog. He was just 6 weeks old and small enough to fit in your hand, and even then he was brave, confident, and ready to play! Milo has grown up in a foster family of dogs big and small, many feline friends, and young children (one of which carries him around everywhere). We are confident he will be a great fit for a home with lots of action and many companions of all sizes.

Story
Onyx is a sweet cat but he is very shy and will take some patience to get him acclimated to a new home. He loves to run and play. At the end of the day he loves to curl up in your lap and fall asleep while purring. He is very picky about which cats he wants to get along with. He has never been around any dogs or children. Born 9/15/21 Onyx was adopted as a kitten in 2021 but returned in 2024, never got along with adopters other cats. If you are interested in me, please contact my rescue family at MeowtownAR@gmail.com to arrange a meeting with my foster home.

Story
SPOILER ALERT: YOU WANT TO ADOPT THIS KITTEN! Michael J. Fox, alias Alex P. Kitten, is the most laid-back little guy you can imagine. Michael loves other cats and kittens and would love to have a playmate. He’s smart, playful, spunky, and very silly. Best of all, he’s always ready to cuddle. Born 4/15/2024 One of two kittens found in a storm drain at 5 weeks old and given over to Meowtown to save. The other was given away to a friend of the finder. Story
Asher l’Extraordinaire, named during the excitement of the 2024 Paris Olympics, carries the torch for his namesake, USA gymnastics champion, Asher Hong. Athletic and fearless, Asher l’Extraordinaire will vault right into your heart with a perfect 10. Asher loves to chill and lie around looking amazing in his bold stripes, super soft fur and a floofy tail (that could win a medal all by itself…it really is that stunning). He knows his name and will answer with short meow when he gets eye contact. His sweet and languid looks are deceiving as he can suddenly explode into a leap after a proffered airborne toy on a stick. He will grab it mid-air and flip over on his back and twist with poetic grace to heed the call of his leopard ancestors. He will often suffer the embarrassment of being picked up and kissed. He prefers to choose his own snuggle time and will spring into your lap and land as if he is weightless. He sticks that landing with precision and tosses a sweet look into your eyes and he settles down for his accolades. Born: 5/2/2024 Background and Description: Asher has not been around children and currently prefers the feline company of his mom and sisters over other kitties. After a slow introduction, he plays well with others and shares the front door Squirrel TV without rancor. He really likes our sweet, big Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix and heeds proper boundaries with our small rat terrier. Keen interest he has in the big dog as she has soft fur like his mama. Asher’s mom, Lee “Mama Lee-Lee,” a small, smart, long-haired tuxedo kitty found refuge for Asher and his two siblings in the parking garage at the UNT Health Science Center. The kittens were taught that safety from predators, cars, (and humans who came too close) was a quick scurry into the undercarriage of the electric carts plugged in on the first floor. A cat mom who had adopted her first fur baby from Meowtown was leaving the gym at the Texas Health Science Center one evening. She had recently graduated and was soon to leave to begin her residency in another state. Walking to her car, she spotted the little family in the parking garage. That feline family won the lottery that night as that med student and her med student friends made it their mission to get them safe and cared for. Story
Sunisa ‘Suni’ l’Extraordinaire, named during the excitement of the 2024 Paris Olympics carries the torch for her namesake, USA gymnastics Olympic champion, Sunisa Lee. Lee is an Auburn Tiger and so is Ms. Suni (sue-knee) l’Extraordinaire with her with copper and blond auburn tiger stripes and sweet le tigre face. She is athletic and graceful and her leaps to the cat tree beam are a thing of beauty. Her feather boa tail may make her seem the diva, with that haughty flip of that floof flag and her wide-eyed gaze but she is a tough competitor. She carries her favorite prey, an eviscerated and bedraggled, dunked-in-the-drink mouse with a deep growl to ward off the siblings and flips it into the air as she plays with elaborate choreography. Try to take her photo and she comes in for a super close up. She looks deeply into your eyes telling you that she wants to be picked up, held, cuddled and kissed. She won’t stay too long, there are adventures to have and sunbeams to stretch out in and Squirrel TV to watch. This little girl loves her mama and would love to be adopted with her. Born: 5/2/2024 Background and Description: Suni’s mom, Lee “Mama Lee-Lee,” a small, smart, long-haired tuxedo kitty found refuge for Sunisa and her two siblings in the parking garage at the UNT Health Science Center. Story
Thumbelina gets her name from her petite size! She is a sweet and affectionate girl who likes to spend her time cuddling up with you. She is very curious and is at an age where everything can be a toy! Thumbelina's special need is that she has Feline Herpesvirus(herpes/FVR). Feline herpes symptoms are nasal congestion, URI's, and conjunctivitis. Cats with FVR are carriers and it can be passed to other cats when symptoms are active. This can all be managed by a vet. Since she is so young, her immune system is still learning how to combat the virus. Most cats are able to live with dormant FVR with only the occasional outbreak. Despite this virus, Thumbelina is living her life as happy as can be!
