Domestic Mediumhair kittens & cats in Flower Mound, Texas

Born on August 3rd&4th. Born indoors, stayed inside until 6 wks, they have been fed only by their moms until 6 wks when they started on whole food supplemented by their mom's milk. Now they are weaned from their moms & rely on whole food though sometimes they do cozy up with moms to feed-more in a nurturing way than for food. They know how to potty in a box, right now they are outdoor trained, when they need to potty they go in the dirt & leaves, dig a hole, potty & bury it just like they do in a litter box though they can transition indoors without issue. Their moms are outdoor/indoor cats though as of now they stay wherever the kittens are. The kittens are very playful & well socialized (benefit of keeping them together until this age, proper weaning-proper socialization) They are familiar with dogs, have been around our Shepherd, each has various degrees of interactions with him but all familiar. 3 Boys 3 Girls - 3 shorter hair 3 medium hair

ChessaHi! Thanks for wanting to know more about me. I’m gonna start with my unique name. When my foster mom got me from the shelter, my brother and I were pretty sick. We both barely weighed a pound and they told her we were both boys (prolly cuz orange girls are pretty rare). So she named me Chester cuz I’m orange like a Cheeto! Anywayz, when I got older and went to be neutered, the doc told my foster momma “SURPRISE! It’s a girl!” … so, I magically became Chessa, Chess for short. Soooo besides being unique, rare AND adorable, I’m very smart, sweet and lovable. I enjoy cuddles and being talked to. I love to play, especially with those little springs! I’m definitely curious, but a bit nervous at first. My foster momma says that’s purrrfectly normal though!I’d love you to come visit and spend some time with me!

IF YOU`RE ENTERTAINING THOUGHTS OF HAVING TWO CATS FOR BUDDIES, NAIROBI AND MORTY ARE FROM THE SAME HOME AND LIKE EACH OTHER VERY MUCH! ADORES PEOPLE, BUT NEW PLACES ARE INTIMIDATING TO THIS GENTLE SOUL. MORTY MAKES EVERYTHING OKAY. NEEDS A FAIRLY CALM HOME. MOST IMPORTANT ARE LOVING PEOPLE! NO EXPERIENCE WITH YOUNG KIDS, GENTLE KIDS WILL BE FINE. OTHER FRIENDLY CATS OKAY. NO TO DOGS. I`m a gorgeous, quiet girl with lovely soft fur. My heart is big as the moon and full of love that I`m not at all shy to offer when you extend your hand to me! It`s okay to pick me up, but I`ll be nervous with that at first. Keep doing it, even briefly and set me down gently, I`ll see that I can trust you! I`ll be happy being with you and being pet, but when you stop, I will usually retreat to someplace quiet to sit, like my little hut. I won`t be very worried at all to stay out with Morty around. I don`t need to hide with him there, and I usually don`t let him out of my sights! I will be out and about, laying low, and climbing high. I like it best being up high on my window seat here. I`ll enjoy a cat tree with big shelves so we can both be on it, and love it near a window. Having a window seat, or a seat on the window sill for both of us would be really great! I`ll be over for a surprise visit with you too. I might come sit with you on the furniture, or lay under the desk by your feet. Sometimes I`ll be in my covered bed, little hut, or comfy bed with high sides near you. I like to where I can see you too! I will be trying very hard to be brave so I can spend more time with you everywhere. I`ll hang out where Morty is playing with the electronic toys, sometimes I go sit with him and watch. They`re waiting for me to join in with him! He likes to hang out near me when he`s done playing. I get anxious, so it`s nice not to be alone! I will lay with my toys sometimes, but having toys doesn`t seem familiar. I WILL swat at a wand toy! I may start to play with my toys later on. There IS play in me, please help bring it out so I can have fun instead of being nervous! I haven`t been used to can foods, and I`m not eating any so far. It`s good for me, so maybe you can find what it is that I like. I was eating Purina naturals dry food at home. Purina One is okay here. I won`t eat much unless Morty is around. Feed us together side by side, or we will even eat out of the same big bowl. Since we`re both on the chunky side, it might be best to split our daily rations up into smaller portion

Foster Care Plan: Cantaloupe is being treated for ringworm which is a fungal skin infection. This can be contagious, so it is recommended that they be kept in a room away from other pets. Be sure to wash your hands and change clothing after interacting with them. A room without upholstered furniture or carpet is ideal. This kiddo will need regular lime sulfur dips and will go home with an antifungal medication.
