Birthday: 4/15/24 Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Domestic Shorthair Traits: Good with other cats, unknown with dogs Fee: $200, or $250 for 2 kittens. Our kittens come vet checked, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and preventative treatment for fleas/ticks/worms. About Me: One of the volunteers of the rescue had a friend with a mom and kittens at a farm. That's how Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles came to us and these spunky girls are confident and adventurous kittens. Blossom is the largest of her sisters, she is shy at first, but once she feels safe, she is very sweet, laid back and gentle. She is the most independent of her litter and will go hang out by herself, with people or other cats. Once she is used to you, she turns into a limp noodle when you pick her up. We have not had her around any dogs, but think that she would do okay with a proper introduction. If you are interested in adopting, please visit linktr.ee/guttercatadoptions to find our application. You can also email guttercatadoptions@gmail.com with any questions. An online application must be filled out to be considered. November 3, 2024, 6:29 pm

Birthday: 4/15/24 Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Domestic Shorthair   Traits: Good with other cats, unknown with dogs Fee: $150 for just her or $200 for her and another older kitten. Our cats come vet checked, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines and preventative treatment for fleas/ticks/worms. About Me:  One of the volunteers of the rescue had a friend with a mom and kittens at a farm. That's how Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles came to us and these spunky girls are confident and adventurous kittens. Bubbles can be slow to warm up and once she is, she is very sweet! When you first pet this silly girl, she thinks she will not like it, and then after just a moment, she realizes she likes it and wants more. After a few pets, she will start purring. She absolutely loves to run around and play with her siblings. When she is tired, she will happily hang out and take a nap with the older cats in the house. We have not had her with any dogs, but we think with time and a proper introduction, she would be okay with some dogs. Bubbles would do best in a home with no children or only older children due to her being slow to adjust to new situations. Name: Figaro Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Domestic Shorthair Traits: Good with other cats, (unknown with kids or dogs) Fee: $150. Our cats come vet checked, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and preventative treatment for fleas/ticks/worms. About Me: Figaro was accidentally trapped by someone who was helping the rescue catch a mom and kittens on their property. The spay/neuter program that he went through ear tipped him as it was assumed that he was feral. Once in our care, we discovered he is in fact a very nice cat. Figaro loves pets, and so far he has not minded being around other cats in our care. The thing that he loves the most is food. We do not free feed him as he so far has not stopped eating when food is available and that can be dangerous. Figaro is quite the talker when he is in the mood and will talk to you when you walk in a room to ask for food. He gladly accepts pets and is all around a friendly cat. So far, he has gotten along with every cat he has been around. We have not had any dogs around him, but she would likely do ok with a calmer dog with a slow and proper introduction. Figaro is currently being housed at Best Pets in Antioch IL Figaro is currently being housed at Best Pets in Antioch IL. Birthday: August 15th, 2024 Sex: Spayed Female  Breed: Domestic Shorthair Traits: Good with kids, some cats (unknown with dogs) Fee: $250 for just her or $300 for her and another kitten. Our kittens come vet checked, spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on age appropriate vaccines.   About Me : Nala was found all alone in the woods crying out for help. She was exhausted and literally surrendered in the rescuer's arms. She was so young that her desire to nurse was still very strong and had to be taught how to eat. Her personality shone through from the very beginning. She is bold, confident and fearless. She's very curious and is the leader of the pack. She is very vocal when wanting attention and around feeding time. She's also very sweet and loves to be held while standing up and often falls asleep in his foster's arms. She loves other cats and dogs and they love her too. She's currently being fostered with 2 other kittens, one of which is her brother who was found a week after Nala. She would do best with being adopted with her brother or to a home that already has a younger, friendly cat. Birthday: August 15th, 2024 Sex: Neutered Male  Breed: Domestic Shorthair  Traits: Good with cats, kids, unknown with dogs Fee: $250 for just him. He comes vet checked, spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated negative for FIV/FELV and dewormed! About me: Leo was found all alone in the woods, malnourished with 2 severely broken legs and needing immediate medical attention. We were uncertain about his future with one vet recommending he be euthanized. However, he was feisty during rescue and we knew he was a survivor and wasn't ready to give up and neither could we. With the generous donations from the community, Leo had surgery on both of his legs and is doing extremely well. He had such a rough start in life but you wouldn't know it now. He has such a resilient nature and is playful, loving and so very sweet. He tends to be vocal when wanting attention and around feeding time. He gets along very well with other cats and dogs and is often the instigator when playing with his endless energy. He's currently being fostered with 1 other kitten, one of which is his sister who was found a week prior to Leo. Without the kittens, he is a bit more shy and cautious. He would do best with being adopted with his sister but may also do okay in a home with another young cat or kitten. Birthday: 4/18/24 Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Domestic Shorthair Traits: Good with older kids 10+, other cats, unknown with dogs Fee: $150 for just him or $200 for him and another older kitten. Our cats come vet checked, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines and preventative treatment for fleas/ticks/worms. About Me : Someone reached out about their cat that had kittens and they were unable to take care of them any longer. They said if we did not step in to take them, that they would have to euthanize the mother and kittens. We did not want this to happen so we made room to take in this litter. Boots did an amazing job as mother to her 2 kittens and she found a home! Her Kittens Ugg and Doc Marten are super loving. Ugg is the last one left to find a home! He is v ery playful and energetic and loves toys of all types! He takes a little time to adjust to a new environment, but once he does he is a very cuddly and lovable kitten and when you pick him up, he turns into a purr machine. He has a super quiet meow, but a big personality. We think Ugg would do best in a calm quiet home without young children. We have not had any dogs around him, but we think he would do okay with time and a proper introduction.  If you are interested in adopting please scan the QR code or visit linktr.ee/guttercatadoptions to find our application. Story
**Ember's Bio: A Tortie Tale of Triumph!**"Greetings, potential purr-fect parents! Allow me to introduce myself: I'm Ember, and I’m here to set your heart ablaze (in a good way, of course!). At a petite 5 pounds (working on my supermodel figure, you know!), I'm an 11-month-old domestic shorthair with a coat that's a diluted tortoise masterpiece – think watercolor sunset meets mischievous fluffball. Now, I've had a bit of a… *rustic* start. Let's just say my previous digs were less 'palace' and more 'pigeon coop with a litter box that could tell stories.' But fear not! A heroic friend whisked me away from my barn-cat blues, and now I'm ready to embrace the indoor life with gusto! I'm super curious about the great outdoors, but for now, I'm content to watch the squirrels from the safety of my window throne.Litter box trained? You betcha! Good with kids, dogs, and other cats? Absolutely! I'm basically the feline ambassador of friendship. I adore playtime, and I'm a master of the affectionate head-bonk. Need a cuddle buddy? I'm your gal!My adoption fee is a mere $150, which includes my upcoming spa day (spay, microchip, and vaccinations on March 18th – I’ll be ready for my close up soon after!). I'm a little underweight, but with your love and maybe a few extra treats (don't tell my vet!), I'll be purring with joy in no time. So, if you're looking for a sweet, playful, and slightly goofy companion, look no further! Ember is ready to ignite your life with purrs and playful pounces. To apply to adopt me, please visit [www.biggiepawsrescue.org](www.biggiepawsrescue.org) and start our happily ever after!"DATCP #494550DATCP # 494550

Story
I came in as a stray cat and it’s been a scary last few months. Don’t misunderstand me, though; I may hiss, but as soon as you start petting me, especially little scratches around my neck and behind my ears, I start relaxing and purring a bit. It’s just that finding myself here, I wasn’t quite sure what to do at first. I do seem fine with cats. I am a sweet and gentle, petite girl that hopes my stay here will be a short one; all I need is for someone to ask about me.

Story
I was originally picked up as a stray and while my rescuers looked around to try to track down my family, unsuccessfully. They said that once I was settled, I was very sweet, very vocal and could easily be trained with treats. I enjoy bird watching, playing, riding on people’s shoulder and of course relaxing in your lap. I’m even quite handsome I’m told, and can be very fashionable. So if you enjoy taking pictures of a guy always ready to purr, maybe you will let me be your model…and your only cat. I am available for permanent foster, which means you could take me home so we can share all the love and Save-A-Pet will cover my vet care for the rest of my life! Story
When things quiet down is when you generally get to see me. I enjoy watching the birds or just even daydreaming in the sun. Lounging by myself is no fun so I always make sure to find a couple of other cats to snuggle up for my nap. I love chasing toy mice around the room, especially if no one is looking. I do enjoy getting my head and chin rubbed, there is a special trick and you will have to ask them, then I may even relax and lay down and allow petting on my back. If your cat is looking for a friend, I am ready.

Story
Stinky (born in 2012) is a spayed female brown tabby shorthaired cat. Stinky was trapped and spayed as an older kitten and returned to her colony. Unfortunately a few years later she was struck by a car and although she was lucky enough to survive, she did suffer several fractures in her lower spine. The spine injuries left her unable to control when she urinates or defecates but her caretaker had developed a bond with her and chose to continue caring for her until sadly he passed away in late 2016. She needs to be on stool softener twice a day to keep her system moving without conscious muscle control but thankfully she happily eats them on her own mixed in with a little wet food. She will need to be on those meds the rest of her life and obviously she requires more clean up than a normal cat and needs to be kept in a small, easy to clean area like a large dog crate, bathroom or spare bedroom with smooth flooring most of the time. Because of her outdoor kittenhood Stinky can be a little slow to warm up to new people but once she gets used to someone as one of her caretakers she loves to be petted and acts a lot more friendly. She has done well with the toddler in her foster home but because of her spinal cord damage we think Stinky needs to avoid excessive stress and would do best in a quieter home with no dogs or where she could be kept separately.

Story
Daisy (about 7 years old as of April, 2023) is a female black and white shorthaired cat. Daisy was born to a feral mother cat who had literally been dumping her kittens at one of our caretakers' house for years. They finally caught her but she was about to give birth, so these lucky kittens have been inside their whole lives. Daisy is a very vocal kitty who likes to meow about things as she goes through her day and will sometimes call out to figure out where people are if she wanders off alone expecting someone to call back to her or come find her. That sounds awfully needy but she is actually the most independent kitty from her litter. She is sweet and affectionate but doesn't want to cuddle until she is done playing and doesn't feel the need to be on top of someone smothering them every time she gets a few pets. That said, when she is in full cuddle mode she loves serious, firm pets so strong they pull the skin around her eyes back and exaggerate her already naturally silly long skinny face. She is very energetic and alert which can make her seem jumpy or skittish, but it's really just her goofy, playful nature showing. She does well with older kids and mostly gets along okay with most of the other cats in her foster home, but has had conflicts with a few of them and mostly keeps to herself so she might prefer living with only the one cat she always gets along with- her sister Primrose. We're hoping we can find a family willing to take them both, as the last time we tried to separate them they both were miserable. She hasn't ever lived with a dog and with her more sensitive nature and at her age she would probably be overwhelmed
