Hello! I am Bonsai! I am sweet and kind, and full of love! I was previously adopted, but we discovered that I am not really a fan of kids. Living in a home with children was too chaotic and stressful, it just wasn`t for me! I am a happy fella and friendly, looking for a home with adults who share my sophisticated, zen attitude. I am independent and like to keep myself busy, exploring all around, napping in a cozy blanket, and more! Come meet me today! The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial feline distemper combination vaccination- first deworming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption Cost: $75.00FELV/FIV Testing provided for an additional fee of $35.00. Hello! My name is Louie. I am very affectionate, adorable, and available! I am looking for a forever home. I am super sweet, love pets, and would be your soulmate for life. I would do best as the only cat in my home. Why you ask? Well...I actually came from a hoarding house a long time ago. You`d think after having so many cat friends before, I`d be totally fine with felines, but instead, I just prefer to soak up all the attention from my humans myself. I am active, playful, and goofy. I can be a food hog and like to open food bags to see what is inside. I would do best with adults or teens, little kids are just too much for me. I am very handsome and full of love, come meet me today! Hello! My name is Aggie! I am a sweet boy looking for a forever home. I`ve been in a foster home and here is what my foster mom had to say about me: She said that I am playful, independent, and loving. She said that I love my toys and will play for hours. I am a night owl, around 9 PM I get the zoomies. I love to run with toys in my mouth. My perfect new home would be a home that is patient with me. I hid the first couple of days. I came out on my own time. I bonded with my foster mom by playing wand toy with her and sharing wet food. Come on in and meet me today. I`m ready for a family of my own!The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial feline distemper combination vaccination- first deworming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption Cost: $75.00FELV/FIV Testing provided for an additional fee of $35.00. Hi there! My name is Pumpkin. I am a sweet fella looking for a forever home. I am laid back and cool. I like a more chill atmosphere, but still enjoy the company of my favorite humans. I don`t want to live with other animals, that`s where I put the SPICE in pumpkin spice, but would love somewhere with lots of windows so I can bird watch. I enjoy pets and exploring new places, or lounging in my favorite office chair. Cat trees and toys are really fun, but I want someone to play with! Hello my name is Lincoln and I`ve got my eye on a forever family (see that`s funny because I only have one eye). I am a senior man, but you wouldn`t really know that when you meet me! I am active, playful, and fun. I like pets and enjoy hanging out with my favorite people, but I do think I prefer the company of adults or teens (little kids kind of annoy me). I am not sure if I would like a home with other cats or not; my previous home had a cat, but he was not very nice to me. If you have a calm kitty who has lived with other cats, I might be okay with that. I am affectionate and sweet, I would be the perfect companion for you! Come meet me today! The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial feline distemper combination vaccination- first deworming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption Cost: $50.00FELV/FIV testing can be done for additional $35.00. Story
Maya loves her feline friends. She is an avid birdwatcher whether on Cat TV or through the window. Maya would do best in a quiet home without dogs or children. All Maya asks is a safe place to live and an understanding person who will go slow and get to know her on her terms. Maya just wants a chance. Her foster works so many hours and isn't able to give Maya the 1 on 1 time she desperately needs. Life as a shop cat or potentially life in a horse barn would also work for Maya since she is a great mouser.

Say a big welcome to Wonder! Wonder came to Animal Friends through our Humane Investigations Department. Wonder can a be a little shy so he has been spending time in a foster home where his true personality is starting to show more and more every day. Wonder's foster reports that he is now becoming very playful and often gets the zoomies when playing with his favorite toys. Wonder has also begun soliciting and enjoying attention more, which is a huge improvement! He also enjoys feeding time where he's learned to become very vocal, making sure his presence is known! Wonder needs a calm, adult only home where he would be the only pet in the household. Wonder will need some extra time and patience so that he can adjust at his own pace. Can you imagine how WONDERFUL your life would be with him a part of it? Wonder is one of our Extra Loved residents. Although all of our resident animals get plenty of love, many of them come from backgrounds that require them to need a little extra. Extra care. Extra attention. Extra patience. They've certainly been extra loved here! If you have room in your heart and your home to give one of our special animals, check with our Adoption team to learn about our Extra Loved program and if there is any additional support we may be able to offer alongside your adoption! Fill out an application --> ThinkingOutsideTheCage.org All of our animals are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped!

Story
Meet Rutabaga! This handsome 1 year old guy came to Animal Friends from our Humane Investigations Team for having too many cats within the home. Since being here at AF we noticed him wobbling everywhere he walked so after some testing our medical team diagnosed Rutabaga with Myotonia Congenita - which is a hereditary neuromuscular disorder characterized by persistent contraction, particularly during muscle movement. Because of this Rutabaga is looking for a home where they will be able to monitor him and give him the assistance he needs with using a litterbox, eating/drinking, and day to day activities. His diagnosis however has not stopped him from being an absolute sweetheart who loves people and could potentially live with other cats. If you're interested in taking Rutabaga home as a Hospice Adoption, please reach out to us as the Adoption Department to learn what steps to take! Rutabaga's foster mom says he is an absolute delight, and is a very friendly and playful guy. He is currently living with one of our other wobbly veggie cats, Fennel, and while he does not have to go home with Fennel, they are welcome to be adopted together. Rutabaga also one of Animal Friend's VIPs! Our VIP Adoption Special was recently created as a means to spotlight some of our residents that have spent longer than average times in the shelter due to their more unique needs. With the VIP Adoption Special we hope to provide as much communication and education about each individual VIP resident and their unique needs as possible, as well as additional resources where needed upon their eventual adoption. Thanks to Charlotte, Dave, and rescue dog Cooper Stephenson, the adoption donation has also been fully underwritten for these VIP residents. Interested in learning more? Ask our Adoption team about eh VIP Adoption Special and learn more about these wonderful residents! Fill out an application -> Thinkingoutsidethecage.org All of our animals are altered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines before being made available for adoption.

Story
Say hello to Meowlificent! Meowlificent was part of a mass rescue of roughly 25 cats in February of 2024. These cats in general became known as our 'M-Cats' as they all were given names starting with the letter 'M'. Upon their admit, many of these cats were very frightened and needed extra time compared to our typical admits adjusting before they were able to begin opening up. Since then, a majority of the M-Cats have had their true personalities flourish - specifically we know that they are all teaser-wand enthusiasts and absolutely love to play. It is important to note, however, that although we have seen significant progress, they are still considered rather shy and would likely do best in homes with older children or adults only. As typical with many mass rescues, their health history can be a little convoluted - it is important to understand that any one M-Cat's diagnosis can mean that exposure was across the board. We are happy to discuss more specific details about any of our M-Cats with any prospective adopters and are excited to share even more of their development whilst in our care. Meowlificent is sweet, loves pets, and will purr up a storm. The key to unlocking this lady's loving personality is to give her time when she transitions to her new environment. Meowlificent can be a little nervous at first, but providing her with proper time to settle in will help her feel comfortable enough to be herself. Meowlificent used to live with many other cats, and is very comforted by having feline friends. ! Are you interested in bringing home this little love? Story
Hello and thank you for stopping by! My shelter name is Millie, but if you adopt me, you can name me anything you want! I was rescued by the kind people at Animal Friends, along with twenty four of my friends. (We all got shelter names that start with "M). My previous home was not the best for me, and although I am well cared for here at the shelter, I really want a home of my own, with people who will care for me, love me and keep me safe! I have been through a lot and I am just starting to feel safe around people! I do love to play with a teaser toy and I really love getting treats. It would be so nice if I could meet you in person! An adoption counselor will introduce us and tell you even more specific details about me. Hey, I know that there are 24 other good looking cats to choose from but... PICK ME! PICK ME! It is important to note that although our M cats have made significant progress since arriving at Animal Friends, they are still shy when meeting new people. They will require a little extra patience in their new home and would likely do best in a home with older children or adults only. Interested? Fill out an application -> thinkingoutsidethecage.org All of our animals are altered, microchipped and up to date before being made available for adoption.
