Story
I took Stevie and her sister (not bonded but also available for rehoming) in after a friend had their life circumstances change. While originally the goal was for my friend to return, they have since declined to return for them and surrendered them to me. Unfortunately, they have adjusted poorly to my own cats and after five months of trying to navigate the situation, we have decided it is best to rehome them. Stevie is approximately 5 years old and the sweetest cat I've ever encountered. She loves being around her people, constantly looking for a warm spot to hang out and cuddle up to you. She's enthusiastic about scritches, extraordinarily timely when it comes to her dinner schedule, and sometimes can be convinced to get up from nap-time to play with her favorite wand toys! Please note, that while Stevie gets along well with her sister (also available for rehoming), part of the reason she cannot stay with me is that she does not do well with other cats!

Story
Worf is a handsome DSH black male born approximately 12/22/2021. Worf was rescued with his mother and siblings from a feral colony in Terrell. Worf is a big, shy guy. He gets along with his siblings and is playful and cuddly with them. He is still very shy with humans, but he and his foster are building a relationship. Every now and then she sneaks in a touch, ever so quickly! Worf is microchipped and currently in a foster home. His adoption fee is $105.November 4, 2024, 1:06 pm

Story
James is a handsome DSH orange tabby male born approximately 3/13/2021. James was originally rescued by NBCR along with his mother and his 6 other siblings. He and his brother, Jacob, were then adopted into a loving home. Sadly, through no fault of their own, they were returned to us about a year later. They have since been in a long-term foster home where they are much loved and cared for. They would still love to have a truly forever home to call their own. James and Jacob are quite bonded. James is timid and super shy except with humans he feels comfortable with. He sleeps with his foster, but still can be startled if she moves too fast. He would do best adopted with his brother as they seem to find comfort having each other's presence.  They both like people and attention, but they do still get scared easily. James isn't quite as brave as Jacob, so he isn't quite as comfortable out and about through the whole house. If it gets too much, he will go upstairs until things calm down. Really, James' needs are simple: a calm person and place to go to when scared, someone to sleep with at night, and canned food every day. That's his happy thing! They would probably do okay with kids who are calm and give them time to adjust. James is microchipped and currently in a foster home. His adoption fee is $105. November 4, 2024, 1:06 pm

Story
Samwise, Sam for short, is a beautiful DSH red/orange tabby male born approximately 1/26/2022. He has striking round yellow eyes. This big, sweet boy is large and in charge! Sam was originally rescued a year ago when he showed up in a Garland neighborhood out of nowhere and the consensus was that he was a dumped or abandoned pet. Several neighbors started feeding him. Then one Saturday afternoon in January when the DFW arctic blast arrived, Sam showed up at the backdoor of one of the neighbors and begged to come in. She took him in and contacted New Beginnings, agreeing to foster him until he could be adopted. He was quickly adopted into a loving home, but sadly was recently returned to us. Hi, my name is Samwise and I am a spunky ginger boy who is in need of a new home. I am looking for a hooman that wants an active, energetic, loving, and affectionate kitty. I need someone that has a lot of time to play with me and then get snuggly with me once I've been exercised. I need toys, time, and attention to keep me happy and engaged. I prefer to be the only kitty, aka the star of the show! I love kitty beds with blankets. Toys that I like include the laser, wand toys, play mice, and anything that encourages my hunting instincts. A cat tree is a must - to climb, use as a scratching pad, and to look outside to watch the birds. I love chirping and chattering at them. I am an indoor cat that needs access to a window, aka my personal "Cat TV." I am very sweet and very clever. I will also supervise while my litterbox is being cleaned and personally give it the paw of approval. Are you looking for me? I am waiting for you! Sam is microchipped and currently in a foster home. His adoption fee is $105. March 14, 2025, 11:37 am

Story
Tiger is a handsome DSH orange and white tabby senior gentleman born approximately 5/25/2013. "I found my home when I was just a baby by going under the fence. After a couple of months, I could no longer fit under the fence and had to jump over the fence. A nice man greeted me every day with food and pets, and eventually, I was invited to live inside with him.  Then came along another kitty named Lady. We got along well and played together for a long time. Now, I am all grown up and mature, but sadly, the nice man who rescued us recently passed away and now we must start over. If Lady could come with me to a new family, it would make the transition to starting over a little bit easier.    I am very laid back and sweet. I love canned food and treats. I enjoy being petted, sleeping in a box, and recently being brushed to keep my fur looking great. Sometimes I would sneak outside when the door was open long enough, but it didn’t take long for me to want to run back to be let in. So, for a while, I would need to be watched so that I don’t want to do that and get lost."  Although Tiger has previously lived in a multi-cat household, we aren't sure how he would do with other cats in a new home situation. We do know he currently seems fearful of dogs. Tiger is microchipped and currently in a foster home. His adoption fee is $105.November 4, 2024, 1:06 pm

Story
A family in my neighborhood bought 2 year old Obie for her daughter, and when the daughter went to college they put him outside. He is an indoor cat, who showed up in my part of the neighborhood. Many neighbors have fed him. I contacted the daughter on NextDoor app and reunited them. A couple of days later he was back as the girl left Dalls to get married. The mother gave me written permission to keep the cat for rehoming and vet care. He is very healthy. He goes in and out of a crate to be carred around my house safely from my other cats to keep him warm this winter. He has lived in the garage and house. He gets bored and likes to talk, so he would go outside for about 4 hours. He sleeps in the bed with me but isn't a snuggler most of the time while sleeping. He likes to hang out while I do yard work or work in the garage. He follows me around the house and has some seperation anxiety at times. He loves water in a bowl, kibble, moist can cat food, and treats. I can carry him around.
