Story
Shadow is a striking Dutch Shepherd mix with a heart of gold and a loving soul. This handsome boy is a true companion at heart and is looking for a forever home where he can be the center of attention. Shadow absolutely adores people and is incredibly affectionate. He loves nothing more than cuddling up with his favorite humans and showering them with love and affection. While Shadow is a people-lover, he's not as fond of other dogs. He needs to be the only dog in the home and would thrive in a setting where he can be the sole recipient of your love and attention. Shadow's ideal home would be a quiet and loving environment where he can feel safe and secure. Shadow is not just a cuddlebug; he's also a playful and energetic pup. He loves to play fetch, go for walks, and explore the great outdoors. Shadow is housetrained and has no medical issues, making him a low-maintenance and easygoing companion. One of Shadow's unique qualities is his love for cats. He gets along famously with feline friends and would do well in a home with a cat companion. Shadow's affectionate nature and playful spirit make him a wonderful addition to any loving family. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who will brighten your days with his affectionate nature and playful antics, Shadow is the perfect match for you. Come meet this wonderful boy and see if you're a match made in heaven. Adopt Shadow today and start making unforgettable memories with your new best friend!

Meet Mito, the sweet and sensitive soul who’s looking for a patient and loving home. While Mito may be a bit shy at first, once he warms up, you’ll discover a playful, affectionate companion who absolutely loves to play fetch. Toss a ball, and you’ll see Mito’s eyes light up with joy as he eagerly races to bring it back. Due to his sensitive side, any kids in the home should be 10+ and able to go slow with him in the beginning. If you’re ready to earn the trust and love of a devoted, playful friend, Mito is waiting to meet you! What I Need In a Home:* Kids 10+ mandatory

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. AdoptaGSD.org   Please consider that some of these dogs have been abandoned or ignored by their previous owners, having little interaction with someone who cares about them. When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life. Hi, my name is Winnie, and I'm a beautiful three year old female Dutch Shepherd who was recently returned to FRGSR after I was left unsupervised for long periods of time, and I managed to get into mischief with the neighbors' dogs and chickens. Since returning to my former foster home, I've fallen back into my old routine of playing with the resident male Malinois, going for long walks and cuddling with my humans. While on walks, my foster mom and dad have not observed me to be inappropriate around other dogs or people. My breed is a working breed, and I need a strong leader who will provide me with clear boundaries and both daily mental and physical stimulation. I need to know what my job is and I would prefer to have an adopter who isn't gone all day. I'm crate trained and I walk beautifully on leash, but I also wouldn't mind being someone's running partner. In my foster home, I'm relaxed and friendly because I know they are my leaders and I focus on being a dog. I love to play in the snow with my foster brother! I can get a little possessive of my toys and my foster parents are working on this. If you feel you can meet my needs, please submit an online application at adoptagsd.org. My adoption fee is $400.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Although we do our best to keep our adoptable animals page as current as possible, the animals you see may already be in an adoption process.   August 19, 2024, 9:06 pm
