I sleep in my kennel and I’m doing great with potty training. When you meet me, I’ll be shy at first but overtime will warm up to you. I haven’t had the best of luck with humans, so I may take my time but I’m worth it. Can’t wait to be with you for forever. Hello my name is Rory! I am a 4 month old puppy! I currently weigh 17lbs! My foster family sent off my DNA to Embark to get a better guess at the question of what am I?! As it turns out, I am mostly a German Shepherd! That must be why I am so smart. I am very treat motivated to learn new things! I know things like “sit” and I am working diligently on “heel.” I spend most of my day playing with my favorite toys or my foster brother, Louie! If you have a dog in your home already that I could play with that would be wonderful! Once I’ve got my puppy energy out I am happy to curl up on the couch for a good snuggle session. I love meeting new people but when my foster mom takes me out at night I am on high alert! I am getting better each day at asking to go potty, soon I will be fully potty trained! I sleep in my crate at night without a peep. Meet the beautiful Juno! This girl is sweet as can be despite being found on the street with a terrible flea allergy. Her finders took her in for a month and got her back to health. She’s playful with other dogs and she plays so nicely with them big or small. She’s also good with cats and kids! She loves the water pool at the rescue and she’s very laid back being out in the main yard with the dog pack. Juno’s finders reported that she’s house trained, crate trained, and completely fine with you taking even a high value bone from. She’s the perfect family dog! To schedule a time to meet this dog, please contact ARL-Adoption@arl-iowa.org.---- Always happy to see his people and will greet you with lots of tail wags - Has been a perfect gentleman in his foster home and enjoys following a similar routine each day - Likes to wake his foster mom up with face kisses - Goofy guy who loves playing with balls and other toys like plush toys, KONGs and tug toys - Enjoys walks and car rides, but is also happy when it's time to go home and chill together - Already knows sit, paw, kennel, down, inside, outside and let's go - he's a smart boy, and he loves treats!- Has done well in a crate and on walks and has been very gentle with children who have wanted to pet him during his walks; he'd love to meet any kids in your home before adoption to make sure everyone is a great match - Can be awkward in his interactions with other dogs (dog intro required) - Has been known to chase cats outdoors; has not lived with cats indoors - Overall a wonderful dog looking for a predictable home with people who will give him time to decompress and settle in; he'll be a great friend for a lucky person or family! - The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs.
