Story
Meet Freya, a happy, playful German Shepherd! She just turned 2 and is a huge love. She is wonderful around children and so incredibly loyal. She is fully house trained and crate trained. However with our schedules getting busier her behavior has started to regress. She has begun chewing up anything in front of her and reverting back to some of her puppy behaviors out of boredom. I believe that if she can find a home with time to train/stimulate her daily she will be your new best friend!

Story
Tatum is a gorgeous, shy German Shepherd Dog who had a rough start to life. Tatum is hoping to find an adoptive home who has experience with dogs, and understands their body language. He is wonderfully sweet and curious once he makes friends with new people. Tatum has a great nose and loves long, sniffy walks, and exploring. Tatum is affectionate and happy with people he trusts, and walks fairly well on a leash. He will bark at new people who move quickly towards him, and likes to make friends by just hanging out and going for walks without being the center of attention. Tatum is very gently curious about other dogs, and may be able to live with another dog who can approach him calmly. At this time he is looking for an adult home, and may take a few meets before he is ready to go home with an adopter. This great boy will make a wonderful friend for an adopter who is willing to go slow, and build his confidence. If you are are interested in meeting Tatum, please head to our website at worcesterarl.org and fill out the Dog Adoption Inquiry to request a meet with Tatum. All adoptions are by appointment, thank you!

Story
Sammy is super sweet! This boy enjoys long quiet walks, and has grown to adore the staff who cares for him. When meeting new people you will definitely see Sammy`s shy side. Sammy is a gentle pup who doesn`t like to be rushed into making friends. He prefers to take his time and let you show him that you can be patient with him. Sammy make take more than one visit at the shelter to get comfortable with new folks, but once he does, you will have yourself a best friend. Due to Sammy`s shyness, we will be looking for a home without children, and a home without lots of people in and out. Sammy may enjoy living with other dogs, but they would have to meet first. If you are viewing this dog’s profile on Adopt-a-Pet and are interested in adopting, please head to our official website at www.worcesterarl.org to fill out a Dog Adoption Inquiry Form, which will be located under the dog’s profile. That is the first step! All adoptions are by appointment, thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Coco! Coco is approximately 5 months old, and she is a mutt! She was left at the shelter door. In her foster home, she is working hard on her house-training, crate training, and leash walking. She could go to a home with kids 5+, and other young playful dogs. She has not been exposed to cats. Her foster says, `Coco is very friendly and energetic. She loves other dogs and loves to run and play. She has a ball that releases treats and she figured it out immediately. She is a puppy and likes to do puppy things like chew and jump but is very easily redirected. She is crate trained and will let you know when she needs out of the crate to go potty. She has a few accidents inside when out of crate but we are working on it. She likes car rides but will try to climb in your lap when driving to get a better view! She likes to explore her surroundings and will circle the house a lot when out of crate but does settle down after she checks everything out. She is very sweet and loves to give kisses. I think she is going to make a great dog for whomever is lucky enough to adopt her!`She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on April 11th. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Latte! Latte is approximately 1.5 years old, and she is a mutt! She was left at the shelter door with her puppy Coco. In her foster home, she is doing great with her house-training, crate training, and leash walking. She could go to a home with kids 5+, and other young playful dogs. She has not been exposed to cats.No apartments, please! She is high energy and needs an active family. Her foster says, `She is the best little dog! I love spending time with her. She loves to be petted and will give you a paw if you stop petting too soon. She has not had any accidents inside or in her crate. She loves toys and does have some chewing habits. You may not want to leave her out of crate when no one is watching until she gets past the chewing stage. The vet says she is right around 1 year old. She loves to run and is very fast! She has a slim build and can squeeze out of tight spaces so you have to watch her close if not on leash. She is a little scared of new people so you have to sit down with her at first and let her come to you. Once she realizes you are not going to hurt her she will be your best friend! She deserves to have the best home with someone that will give her all of the love they have to give!`She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on May 9th. Story
Niko is a 4 yo german shepherd. His birthday is 2/2/18 so he's almost 5. I got him right before Covid so he was not socialized as much as he should've been and has some social anxiety when other humans come to his home or are around his humans. He is extremely protective of what's his and will give ample warning to those who are a threat by barking and pushing them back with his nose. He has to be medicated when he goes to the vet to calm him. With the right training and time this can be corrected. He's extremely intelligent and willing to learn new things. He's a working dog by nature. He loves walks, playing catch with his tennis ball, squeaky toys and lots of attention. He won't leave your side or run away. He's house trained and food driven. I lost my husband to suicide a year ago and due to financial reasons I cannot keep him. I am heartbroken and desperate to find him a loving home asap.

Story
I'm Luke, a five-year-old German Shepherd Dog. True to my breed, I'm incredibly smart and very loyal. I love my people and like to be close to them. My foster mom says I'm snuggly and sweet! I'm also well behaved in the home: I'm totally housebroken, and I sleep through the night on my dog bed. I am not destructive so haven't needed to be crated. I enjoy going for long walks, and I walk well on leash -- I make great eye contact with my person to check in as we go. Like most male GSDs, I will benefit from a confident owner with a knowledge of the breed. Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp, and someone will get right back to you.

Story
Before calling about this dog, please read our adoption requirements at http://gsrne.org/requirements-for-adopting-from-gsrne Two-year-old Coral is a dog that would thrive in a quieter home.  Coral did not have much exposure before she came to GSRNE and lived with an older couple who never took her out much. Since getting to know her, we've found she loves to cuddle with her favorite people, and enjoys being around cats and other dogs. She is very shy and sweet, and needs slower introductions to new people, but is such a lovebug once she opens up. She has excellent manners in the car, on public outings, and at the vet. This pretty pup is ready to meet her forever family, who will be patient and loving and give her the time she needs to gain more confidence!
