I love to roll over for belly rubs and will try to sit on your lap any chance I get. I am very quiet and I have never had an accident! I sit very politely for my food and wait patiently for my walk. I have super leash skills and walk at a comfortable pace. Perfect so far, right?! I do want you to know a couple other things about me. I am a bit shy and unsure when it comes to new things. Unfamiliar sounds and new places can make me a bit nervous. By taking things slow I eventually relax. I think I would be best suited to a home with older, respectful kids 10 and up. Also, one that is patient and could help me to continue to be brave. I am a bit selective about canine friends, so any introduction would need to slow and proper. Or I am happy to your one and only! Hello my name is Buffy, I'm from Minnesota! From her foster: Buffy is a goofy loving girl who is looking for the right person to bring it out of her. She's got an unexpectedly deep voice that we never really hear unless she's asking to be let up onto the couch. Speaking of the couch, it is her favorite spot. Don't be mistaken, she's not a couch potato. She is a fetch queen who likes to play outside and loves to go for walks, but then after all the excitement is over, you'll find her lounging on the couch. And if you're lucky you'll get to witness one of my favorite things, she'll fall asleep and start wagging her tail. She is crate trained and potty trained. We have had zero accidents in the house and she lets us know when she needs to go out. She is shy and nervous, but she's learning that the world isn't so scary. She does pull a little bit on our walks, but is also very responsive to gentle corrections. I don't think she needs another dog in the home to thrive, but I do think another dog in the home would help her adjust a bit easier. Once we introduced her to our dog she really came out of her shell.

Gunner is an adorable sable male GSD. Gunner lost his mom suddenly and needed a place to go, so we took him in. Gunner had a knee surgery previously, so he does walk a little funny, but that does not stop him from playing with his jolly balls! Gunner should be the only dog in the home at this point in his life. He is crate trained, neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Experience needed for Gunnar, he’s a great dog, but needs a strong handler. I am a gorgeous, sweet, and very kind albeit shy adult female German Shepherd. Truth be told, I am afraid of pretty much everything in this enormous world from commotion to loud noises like thunderstorms so a fenced yard is a must. Additionally, I am looking for a VERY special fur-ever family who is lovingly patient and will NEVER give up on me! I have not met any cats or kids, but I am good with other dogs and will need another large dog who will help me feel comfortable and secure! I don’t play much but I’m a smart girl who knows what “go potty” means and I’m potty & leash trained. As for the kennel/crate, foster mom doesn’t put me in that cave because I am an amazingly good girl who simply lays in her bedroom, she can even shut the door if she wants to because I feel safe in there. I am very slowly learning what it’s like to feel safe and loved. In fact, I have become comfortable enough with foster mom that I greet her in the morning by putting my head right next to hers while I patiently await lovingly gentle head scratches! Hint, hint! By the way, I also love butt scratches and ear rubs! Just sayin’! Hee, hee!! Anyway, I really am an incredibly sweet girl who tries SO hard to be brave. All I need now is a calm fur-ever home. Sure, I may not ever be that girl that greets you at the door or gives you kisses but I assure you that I have an enormous heart that is brimming with unconditional love and I long to share with YOU!! All I ask is that you give unconditional love in return and allow me the time, space, and patience I need to become comfortable and learn to trust in my own time!
