Story
Hello, fantastic friends! I'm Vader, a 3-year-old with a heart of gold, celebrating my birthday on Dec. 5th! 🎉 Here's a glimpse into why I'm the perfect fit for your loving family: I'm a cuddle connoisseur, belly rub enthusiast, and expert kisser. Treats make my tail wag, and I'm a smart, gentle soul eager to please my new family. A certified conversationalist, I'll gaze into your eyes as we share our thoughts. Rescued with my brother Celery after a West Virginia tornado, my foster parents adored us. While they can only keep one of us due to some sibling logistics, I come with heaps of love, ready to capture your heart. I'm an 65lb Border Collie German Shepherd mix, currently living harmoniously with two fabulous female dogs. I'm open to meeting more furry friends, with a preference for females. Cats, however, aren't my cup of tea. Dreaming of a bustling home with kids and furry companions, a fenced-in yard or a sprawling farm would be ideal. I'm a Gary's Professional Dog Grooming and Training graduate, well-behaved, crate-trained, and ready to learn more. A bit of extra training won't hurt, but patience is my forte. I may need a gentle reminder for commands like "off," but my excitement is just a friendly jump. Seeking a loving, playful, and gentle giant? That's me! Let's embark on this journey together. If interested in meeting Vader please fill out an application at www.rescueahart.org.

Story
Meet Lennox!! He is a little over a year old (born 10/22) German Shepherd mix who weighs 65 pounds! He is looking for his forever people. Lennox is a very active boy who will do well with clear instructions and consistency. He is working on the words “no, stay, sit, back off, leave it, drop it, house, and done”. He still has an occasional accident in the house especially when he is focused on play. He loves a good tennis ball and can play for hours. He is learning to walk without pulling, gets excited when he sees dogs his own size and seems to want to chase cats that run. He has lived with cats before, but testing is critical. In his foster home, he has a fenced in yard, but does not like to be out on his own. He really wants someone to play ball with him. Currently he is working on “house’ during the workday and ‘house’ overnight. He does well through the night, but he will bark for a short time until he settles down. He is still working on spending the day in the crate. He would thrive in an active family who could take him out for several walks or to play ball. He is a loving boy with a big heart, loves to cuddle on the couch, and did we mention he loves his tennis balls. If you would like to meet Lennox please fill out an application at www.rescueahart.org

Introducing the Superhero Litter!! These adorable German Shepherd mix puppies weigh approximately 10 pounds each and are 3.5 months old. These puppies have done an amazing job of using their puppy pads. They love to play with their toys (squeaky toys, tennis ball, bene bones) and litter mates. They play hard and they sleep hard. They are always super excited to see their foster mom, foster 2-year-old human brother, 2 Great Danes and a schnauzer mix. They are vocal and will probably do best in a single-family house. Wolverine is the alpha of the litter, and he loves attention. He is very vocal about wanting some loving. Black Panther is an escape artist. He is able to scale the puppy pen that they are in, and he then runs around the basement while his brothers howl at him. Captain America is the smallest of the brothers. He is fluffy, snuggly and sweet. Venom looks the most like a German Shepherd. He is one of the calmer brothers. He loves to cuddle. Knight Moon is an adorable little fluff ball. He is full of fantastic puppy energy, and he likes to explore. Thor likes to play with his tennis ball. He is full of loving for whoever wants it. These superhero pups are ready to bring joy and adventure to their forever homes—could one of them be your new best friend? This litter is being fostered in the Cincinnati area, and the adoption fee for each puppy is $400.00. Story
Meet Kelsea, a 4-month-old, 12lb, female German Shepherd/Keeshond mix. Kelsea is a typical fun-loving puppy who is ready to steal your heart. Kelsea will give 100% at playtime and then be ready for a good cuddle with you. Kelsea’s fur is as soft as silk. She is very smart and her foster parents hope to see her attending puppy classes and learning all the commands. She is sure to be a super hero at it! Kelsea loves playing with toys, chewing benebones, and playing with her foster siblings of all sizes, but has not been around cats. Kelsea is crate trained at bed time. She sleeps most of the night and leaves her crate dry & clean. She does well on a leash but loves running her little heart out in a securely fenced yard. Potty training is a work in progress and she will benefit with continued crate training. Kelsea is ready to love on her forever family and promises to bring lots of happiness along with her. Kelsea is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $400.00. Story
Lady is the sweetest 4-month-old Keeshond/German Shepard mix weighing in at about 25 pounds! Even though she’s only been in foster just a short time, she’s already mastered crate training (she sleeps through the night!) and is quickly learning potty training as well! At first, she was nervous about a leash and now she does fantastic on a leash and learning all about the outside. She gets along great with kids of all ages and other dogs! She loves to play with other dogs and is doing fantastic with learning cues from them. She's a little bit of a rascal…stealing all kinds of items from around the house and collecting them into a pile. Lady doesn’t chew them, just seems to love curating a collection of goodies to put in her crate with her. While still a puppy in a lot of ways with playful nipping and learning how to not knock over her water bowl. With structure and consistency, she will make a great furry addition to any household! Lady is being fostered in the Cincinnati are. Her adoption fee is $400.00.
