Four is a VERY energetic pup. He will turn 2 years old on Feb 1, 2025. He has had a long journey coming from a “breeder” and then had a bad experience with a trainer. He is very good with my toddler and has never been aggressive or bitten anyone. I would recommend adopting only if you are patient and have time to train and practice with him often, as he is very hyperactive and energetic.

We adopted Alec last June from a shelter. They did not have a history on him as they acquired him from "a bad situation in a kennel" although I do have a limited medical history. Alec is six years old, weighs 73 lbs and is quite energetic and loves the outdoors unfortunately, I believe he has never been leash trained and does pull on walks so he would need furter training. He is affectionate, a bit mischievous, and will steal food off counters. He gets along well with other dogs (NOT small dogs or cats) and with people. He has not been exposed to children so that is an unknown. I would recommend a background with having a Husky as his personality favors them more than a Shepherd. I'm giving him up as my wife has since passed and my arthritis has decided to invade my hands and wrists enough to where I will in all probability require surgery. Also, I am seriously looking to sell my house and move to a senior community.

Hiya! My name is Cody!! I am going to tell you all of the reasons you should adopt me. I’m a german Shepard mix! Our breed is known for being intelligent, loyal, energetic and protective. The nice volunteers at the shelter tell me they can see how smart I am! They told me to sit and I did! I think there might even be a video of me learning commands! I’m only a year old but that’s a great time to adopt a dog! I’m a bigger guy so I’d do well with a lot of space and exercise but I also love to curl up and snuggle. The volunteers are still learning about me but they said I’m such a good boy and maybe a little clumsy too. I think they said I need to work a little bit on my manners but I just want to give everyone all of my love. I think I might even enjoy some furry siblings. If you want to adopt me (and I think you should) please bring any other dogs in the home so we can meet and make sure it’s a good fit.
