Story
Junior was brought in California from a family friend. I’ve had him since he was 3 months old. He is now 3 years old. He barks at everything for no reason. He loves to play with other dogs. He is not spayed. He has had one little of 8 in 2023. He was such a good dad. He is loosing a lot of weight because I cannot afford the food he like which is Blue Jack and my female German Shepherd does not let him eat, which I have to feed them separate but even then she will go and eat his food. He is house trained but has to be taken out or he will pee and poop in the house. I am looking for a family with a yard so he can run and play outside. He can be an outside dog but loves sleeping in the bed.

Story
We fostered Betsy from the Humane Society of North Texas at the beginning of December. She is currently 5 months old and has been a wonderful puppy. Within the first 2 weeks she became potty trained. She is great with other dogs (big and small) and children. She is playful, sweet, and a cuddle bug. We are looking to find her fur-ever home in a loving home.

Story
Max is a great Dog, was born May 10, 2017. Unfortunately we have made the hard decision to rehome him. He is Neutered. He is friendly with all kids and protective. The reason we plan on rehoming him is, my kids are afraid of him since he is so big. He gets very excited to be with my kids (5&6year olds) but he can be a little too friendly and thats where my kids get afraid because he pushes them around unintentionally. We try spending time together but due to my kids being afraid is much harder to do so. He loves to be outside (great guard dog), the only times he wants to come in is if its very hot, extreme cold or thundering. He will come to the door and knock a couple of times to come in, same with him wanting to go out. He has never gotten sick to our knowledge!

Story
Meet Zara: Your Loyal German Shepherd Companion Zara is a beautiful 4-year-old German Shepherd, spayed, healthy, and up to date on vaccinations. She is intelligent, eager to please, and bonds deeply with her humans. Calm indoors, she enjoys lounging by your side but is also an alert watchdog. While friendly with all other dogs outside of the home, Zara thrives as the only dog in the home. She forms strong attachments and has strong boundaries when she is trying to relax, so she needs a home where she is the sole pet. Zara is well-trained, responds to commands, and enjoys daily walks and playtime. A secure yard and ongoing training would be beneficial. Zara was adopted with hopes of integrating into a multi-dog home, but tensions arose with the resident dog. To ensure both dog’s well-being, Zara needs a single-dog home where she can receive the attention she deserves. Zara is such a loving, loyal companion ready to bond deeply with her forever family.

Story
Hello, some words about Max. He came to my house as a stray pup a year ago. He is special. His back legs are turned inward and his lower back is curved. Max is in need of an owner who can take care of him health wise especially as he ages. He is a cuddle bug. He loves attention and he loves to play. If he were able to come in my house I would be describing him as a lap baby. Max is roughly around 2 years of age. He is in need of his shots and possibly pain pills in the next year or so. I haven’t had luck with him around cats or my small dogs but I believe it’s because he identifies them with wild small creatures here in the country. However, I do believe he is intelligent enough to be trained to be around small animals. He is very loving and very protective. We do have this thing instead of playing fetch I will play fight with him over his toy. He is a very smart dog and I believe there is someone out there that would be a good fit for him. Thanks.

Story
Meet Demitri! Hi everyone, I’m Demitri! I am 2 years old and about 60 pounds. Everyone tells my foster mom I look like a shepherd mix. All I know is that everyone tells me I’m a handsome boy! When I was rescued from the shelter I had a skin issue that caused me to lose a lot of my hair. Most of my hair has grown back and I am feeling like a million bucks! I am very active and always have lots of energy. I love to play and go on walks with my foster mom and brother. I am very friendly with people and other dogs. I can be a little skeptical when it comes to trying new things but I am very smart and learn quickly! I will need someone to help me learn my manners. I am house broken and up to date on my shots, heart worm preventative, and flea/tick medicine. Can’t wait to meet you!To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. Story
Meet Farfalle! Very sweet, lower energy guy. Would do great in a home with another dog or by himself. He is very dog friendly but is also respectful of another dogs space. He would even do well in a home with a senior dog! He is a very sensitive soul and can be timid around new people. But, it doesn’t take him long to open up and want to be great friends!-crate trained-potty trained-non destructive- only chews on his dog toys-does not bark when doorbell rings-likes go for walks and play fetch-does not need a ton of activity each day, he’s perfectly ok to snuggle up with you-knows sit, down, door boundaries, how to heel on a leash. He does sometimes get excited when he sees dogs on walks and will pull a bit but he is working on ignoring dogs on walks.Due to his calm nature, he may also do well in a home with cats.If you’re looking for the perfect lower energy house gentleman, apply to meet him!To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. Meet Lobo! Lobo is a very sweet and ACTIVE 3 year old German Shepherd mix. He is a large boy and seems to think he is a lapdog. Story
Meet Hayden!Hayden is a tall, lanky black three-year-old Shepherd mix with a beautiful, glossy coat. He’s incredibly agile and adapts perfectly to the energy around him—whether it’s a calm, relaxed day or an active, playful one, he’s always in sync with the vibe. Loving, patient, and great with people of all ages, including kids, and other dogs makes him a great companion. Hayden is kennel trained but can be trusted outside of the kennel as he doesn’t chew on things or get into the trash. He’s a bit of a foodie, but not in the “eat anything” way—he’s the dog who prefers gourmet over kibble and has a very discerning palate. He is a truly wonderful dog. He could be the only pup in the home, but he does like to play with other dogs. He’d thrive in a home without chickens, and possibly no cats. Hayden is neutered and up-to-date with all his vaccines. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt.
