Story
DOB: 4/01/2014 Weight: 65 lbs Meet Yeti – The Sweetest Senior Pup Looking for a Loving Home! Yeti is a gentle, well-mannered senior dog (11 yrs. Old) searching for her forever home. Due to allergies in her current family, she needs a new place to call her own, and we’re hoping to find her the perfect match! She’s fully potty trained and completely trustworthy to roam freely around the house. Yeti enjoys a peaceful, relaxed lifestyle—she prefers curling up in her bed and spending most of her day resting. She’s not one to bark unnecessarily, only using her voice when she feels unsure or needs to protect her loved ones. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance companion who enjoys being nearby without demanding constant attention, Yeti is your girl! Yeti adores people of all ages and thrives on companionship, though she can be selective with other dogs—just like many seniors. She enjoys a calm and quiet environment and isn't a fan of loud noises such as thunderstorms, fireworks, sirens, or heavy rain. During these times, she feels safest inside, where she can relax without stress. This sweet pup has so much love to give and would thrive in a home where she can enjoy a peaceful, loving environment. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and easygoing companion, Yeti could be the perfect fit for your family. Yeti is current on vaccines and is ready to meet you immediately. Let’s find Yeti the warm and caring home she deserves! If you’re interested in meeting her, reach out today! We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Bailey is an 8 year old German Shepherd. She is very playful, friendly and affectionate with adults. As soon as you come home she greets you with such joy and affection and loves to bring you her toys to throw! She loved people (just not kids). My husband got her as a puppy from a breeder before we met. After we got married and started a family, she has unfortunately gotten more stressed as our boys have gotten older and more affectionate and in her space. She has growled at them and shown her teeth but never attacked or lunged. She barks and runs along the fence when neighbor dogs are on the other side of the fence and has lunged at other dogs in the past. We are getting ready to add another baby boy to our family and feel our home is no longer suitable for Bailey. She needs a loving home with no kids or other pets. She would be a great dog for a single adult or older couple.

Story
Hi, this is Milo. I got Milo when I was in college back in 2019 at Texas Tech. His dad is a German Shepard, and his mom is a lab. Milo is 5 years old and is extremely playful. In his new home, its important he can be with someone who can spend quality time with him and train him. he has home training and will not use the bathroom inside or trash the house but he does sometimes resource guards and is very protective naturally given his nature. Overall, he could fit with any family type if you live by yourself, have a spouse, or have a family. We have a baby in the family and he tends to not pay her much mind so he gets along with everyone but he is a natural protector so if you live by yourself he is great to have around. He is very sweet he loves attention and loving once you get to know him. He is a high-energy dog he can play fetch all day long so if you like runs or have time to play this is your guy! I would like for him to go to a good home and someone who can help better than I.

Story
Bobby has been thriving in his foster home, learning how to live in a home environment and gaining confidence along the way. He’s a smart boy who follows directions well, though he can be a little nervous when new people visit. If given time and space, he quickly realizes they’re not so scary. Bobby walks great on a leash but needs a slow, patient approach when meeting new people. This sweet, goofy boy has been through a lot. He and his five littermates were abandoned at a shelter at just three weeks old, where they were exposed to distemper. Only three survived, and Bobby was one of them. Now, after spending over two years in rescue, he’s still waiting for a place to call home. Bobby would do best in a home without young children, ideally with kids aged 10 and up. Due to his breed makeup, no apartments please. If you are interested in adopting Bobby, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash, Zelle, Venmo or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##1702303##
