Hi! I'm Sunny! I'm a 5 year old Shepherd mix with a very happy disposition. Yep... that's how I got my name! I am a very sweet girl with plenty of energy. I would love a home where someone will play with me or take me for walks. I like other dogs and kids but haven't really met any kitties yet. I am potty & crate trained ! Will you be the lucky one to give me a forever home? My foster mom says I'm a doll so I would love to be a doll in my new home with you!

Story
Meet Maxx, a 2 year-old male German Shepherd mix weighing 60 lbs. Maxx is a friendly and happy pup who knows his obedience commands and is great on a leash. Maxx is fantastic with dogs and kids but would do best in a home without cats. He's treat-motivated and takes them gently, making training a breeze. While he may jump a little when he first meets people, once he gets his wiggles out, he settles down nicely. Maxx loves to play with toys and is always ready for a fun game. If you're looking for a loyal and playful companion, Maxx could be the perfect addition to your family.

Story
This sweet 6-month-old German Shepherd mix is as gentle as she is loving. Weighing in at 30 pounds, Cheese may be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she’s all about attention and playtime! She loves to fetch, is treat-motivated, and is working on building her confidence—especially on a leash. Cheese gets along well with other dogs and kids, making her a wonderful family companion. However, she’s a bit scared of cats, so a feline-free home would be best. If you’re looking for a loving, playful pup who just needs a little encouragement to blossom, Cheese is the one for you!

Weighing 29 pounds, this sweet boy can be a little shy at first, but once he feels comfortable, he’s all about affection, attention, and playtime. He’s treat-motivated, loves to fetch, and enjoys playing with toys—especially a good ball! Mac gets along well with other dogs but can be a bit selective with his friends. Story
I found Koda abandoned 2 months ago in my neighborhood. My fiancée and I took him in but unfortunately can’t care for him anymore. He’s such sweet boy and he’s so loving and playful. Loves to chew on a toy bone and squeak toy. Loves to play fetch and is very intelligent (knows sit, lay down, wait and free for eating, shake). Loves to lay on the couch and cuddle. At home, he’s the sweetest boy but plays a bit rough with my other pups. Would do best as an only pet. There are some scenarios that need to be accounted for - an extreme food aggressive dog and when fed, must be isolated until he finishes. Additionally, fear aggressive as well, so just needs someone who will be careful in exposing him to scary situations.

Story
Beau is a beautiful 64 lb, 3-year old German Shepherd mix. He loves walks, fetch, zoomies in the backyard, car rides, doggie daycare, humans, and other dogs. No cats!!! Beau is house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained, although he still pulls a little on the leash and will need help with that. Beau was rescued from being an outside dog 24/7, regardless of the weather. His previous owners also declined heartworm preventative for Beau and he has tested positive as a result. We are paying for Beau’s heartworm treatment and are committed to fostering him until his forever home is found. Please know that if Beau were not cat-aggressive, we would be his forever home. He is an incredibly good boy! Sadly his behavior with our cats is not okay, and our attempts to train him otherwise have failed. We know there is a great (cat-free) home out there for Beau. Perhaps it’s yours!! If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Beau is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.October 14, 2024, 10:13 pm

Story
Bobby has been thriving in his foster home, learning how to live in a home environment and gaining confidence along the way. He’s a smart boy who follows directions well, though he can be a little nervous when new people visit. If given time and space, he quickly realizes they’re not so scary. Bobby walks great on a leash but needs a slow, patient approach when meeting new people. This sweet, goofy boy has been through a lot. He and his five littermates were abandoned at a shelter at just three weeks old, where they were exposed to distemper. Only three survived, and Bobby was one of them. Now, after spending over two years in rescue, he’s still waiting for a place to call home. Bobby would do best in a home without young children, ideally with kids aged 10 and up. Due to his breed makeup, no apartments please. If you are interested in adopting Bobby, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash, Zelle, Venmo or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##1702303##

Story
Sunshine is a 9 year old, 70 lb, German Shepherd mix looking for a place to call home. Since joining her foster family last January, she has come out of her shell and grown more confident each day. Now that she has completed her heartworm treatment, she’s ready to start the next chapter of her life. Sunshine is potty trained and well-mannered in the home, so she doesn’t need a crate. She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys spending time with her canine foster siblings. She would thrive in a calm environment, making a home without young children the best fit. This gentle girl just needs a patient family willing to give her the time and space to adjust. Once she feels safe, she will be a loyal and loving companion. If you’d like to meet Sunshine, apply at www.rescuerowinc.org. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex.
