Story
Rip is a beautiful GSP that was sadly abandoned in Naugatuck during a snow storm. When Rip was caught, it was found that he had a severe cruciate tear in his rear leg that needed surgery. Rip will undergo surgery and be neutered on March 6, 2025 and be eager to find his forever home once recovered! Rip is a typical GSP and a major clinger to his people. He is very obedient and eager to please. Housebroken and crate trained. He has been okay with other calm/docile dogs - but does not do well with other dominant/confindent dogs. He is extremely cuddly and loves to be with you, including endless time in the car. He also loves his toys! Story
*Name: Ivy  *Age: 3 years old *Current Weight: 50 lbs *Rescued from: South Carolina, currently fostered in NY *Adoption fee: $475 (plus $150 spay/neuter deposit, see below for more information) Meet Ivy, a 3-year-old supermom who is searching for her forever family!  Ivy gave birth to her 11 babies in a South Carolina shelter, where, unfortunately, one passed away. But Ivy and her remaining 10 puppies were soon whisked away into a loving foster home in South Carolina, where they received the care they needed. On December 22nd, Ivy and her pups made the big trip up to New York, where they were welcomed into a wonderful foster home. Through it all, Ivy has been an incredible mom, nurturing and caring for her little ones with so much love. Now that her puppies are thriving and ready for their own adventures, it’s Ivy’s turn to find her forever family.  Her favorite thing to do is spend quality 1:1 time with her humans and get pets and rubs... the moment she has your attention she literally melts to the floor so that you will pet her (it is the most adorable thing!!).  She is quiet, very easygoing, sweet, and does well walking on a leash, always happy to take a stroll around the neighborhood (even in this cold NY weather). Ivy gets along with her foster family’s dog (although she is usually more interested in food or human attention), and will make an amazing addition to any family! Ivy is ready to start the next chapter of her life with a family who will love her unconditionally. Could you be the one to give this amazing mama the home she deserves? Apply to adopt Ivy today! IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. The $150 deposit will be returned once the contract has been fulfilled. To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR FAQs  ##2277870##

This is a Courtesy Listing and has no affiliation with Petrescue. Please contact the owner listed below directly Rosie is an almost 4 year old (5/28/2020) Short Hair Pointer Mix. She is the snuggliest, softest love bug. She is 60-65lbs. She loves walks, hikes, dog parks, playing fetch in fields, going for rides in the car and visiting stores like Home Goods or Home Depot. She is a true companion. She is timid with new people but when she earns your trust she is a true best friend. Rosie went to a 6 week training camp at Balanced K9 in Fairfield CT. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.January 21, 2025, 1:16 am
