Hi, I’m BLARNEY STONE, and I’m told I’m such a handsome fellow! I’m always on the look-out for a good time, and I’m also a bit of a flirt. I adore being held and snuggled by my humans and I know how to dazzle them! I like being outside and exploring the yard, and I even had fun in the snow! Here are some of my favorite things: Playing, sleeping, eating, and cuddling…. It’s all so much fun and I want to do it all! I like having my siblings around because there is always something to do. We have lots of fun, and after playtime comes the human loving! But my foster mom says that all things change and in my next chapter I will be finding my forever family. She says I’m living proof that it’s good luck to kiss the Blarney Stone! I would love to bring that luck to you. I am sure that my next adventure will be the best one yet!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. Hi, I’m DUBLIN, and I’m the best of both worlds! I like to snuggle and I like to play. My foster mom says I have an attentive, intelligent face, and she knows what I’m trying to tell her - I’m saying hold me! Right now I fit perfectly in her lap, and that’s where I want to be.I love having my fur pet and ruffled, it's the best feeling! I’m very social with other pups and with people. I enjoy wrestling with my littermates, but I especially like being right next to my humans, especially the miniature (child) sized! If you like to binge-watch Netflix, I’m your guy because hanging out on the couch with you is one of my talents! My ideal family is one that can handle lots of puppy kisses because that’s where I really shine! I can’t wait to meet you and show you all the love I have to give!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Hi, I’m LIMERICK! I am the one in the pack that is always the first to greet my people. In fact, I choose to be with my foster mom instead of eating breakfast any day of the week! She says I’m super social, and will make someone a perfect companion. I’m not only cuddly, but I’m also beautiful! I have a sweet expression, and a personality to match. When I’m not seeking out attention from my people, I am rough housing with my siblings. After a good wrestling session with my siblings I tend to look for a quiet place for a nice nap. My foster mom says that it’s time for me to find my forever family. She said that I am going to be spoiled rotten for the rest of my life, and I am looking forward to repaying my humans with tons of kisses and love! --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Hi I’m RIVER DANCE, and I’m a party girl who likes to have fun fun fun!. I’m alert, I love to play, and I’m always watching what is going on because I want to be in the middle of it! I have a lot of energy and I like new adventures, but that doesn’t stop me from wanting to be with my humans. Even though I’m drawn to action, I also crave my cuddle time with my foster mom and her family. One thing I discovered is that I adore kids! They have the best ideas for fun! I’ve heard there’s a big world out there, and I want to experience everything about it! I would love to have a family that wants to play with me, and also to hold me and pet me! Story
Hi, I’m SHANNON, and I’m a beautiful girl from the deep south! I arrived in Minnesota with my five 3 day old puppies on the coldest January day! It was such a blessing that Warrior Dog Rescue found me and my babies and brought us to safety. I was so happy to be able to raise my puppies inside in a warm house with plenty of food, a cozy bed, and surrounded with loving people. My babies are now ready to find their forever families and start a new chapter in their lives, and I’ve been told that it’s my turn too!Let me tell you a little about myself. Not to brag, but I do come close to perfection. I’m a happy go-lucky girl who is always smiling. In fact I’ve been told my smile is contagious and I light up the room. I’m reliably house-trained and I can be trusted to be loose in the house when my foster mom is at work.I sleep in a dog bed at night, I have not needed a crate. I adore stuffed animals, Nylabones and tennis balls, and I can entertain myself with toys. But I would never turn down a good game of catch and fetch! I also discovered that I love snow! Nothing gives me the zoomies like a foot of fresh white powder! So far I have not chewed on anything I shouldn’t. Why bother when I have such fun toys? Someone trained me well, because I come when I’m called, and I know how to sit and shake on command. In fact, shaking is one of my favorite things to do because that’s how I ask my humans to pet me. I love attention and I can’t get enough! I have a typical poodle coat, so I need regular brushing to keep me looking my best. I enjoy grooming, I feel so pampered, like I’m having a spa-day! I guess I need to be completely honest. If I have a fault, it would be that I have been caught counter-surfing. Those chicken nuggets smelled so good, it was too hard to resist! My foster mom told me that now she knows that really tasty food must be kept out of reach, but she always makes sure I get my treats so that more than makes up for it.My ideal home would be with someone who wants a devoted companion who is always by their side. I like nothing more than being with my people. And I adore children! They really know how to play, and they have lots of energy, just like me! If you are looking for a loyal friend who is well-mannered and affectionate, I’m your gal! I can’t wait to meet you and show you all the love I have to give!***FOSTER TO ADOPT*** Shannon is in our Foster to Adopt Program because she is not yet spayed. Her spay will be coming up soon. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi I'm  Candycorn !  I'm a beautiful lady who came into rescue with some secret cargo in my tummy.  I was a good mama and raised my babies and sent them all on to new homes.  Now it's my turn!  With new people and in new places I'll admit I get nervous and I either find a safe corner to hide in or I'll possibly bark.  At home with my foster mama where I'm familiar with things I'm a completely different dog.  I have the bestest happy smile, my tail doesn't stop wagging and I get the cutest dance and zoomies.  I gently jump against my fosters mamas leg so she can give me hugs and kisses.  Sometimes I kiss back!  When she stops I gently put my paw on her arm so she knows I want more.  I also love when she gives me chin and cheek scratches and I should probably mention tummy rubs are great too.     I get along great with all dogs and like to chase and wrestle when they're my friends.  I would do best having a doggie sibling in my new home so they can help me learn the routine in my new home and help me be more confident.     At home I am learning to walk on leash.  It's going great since I trust my foster mom.  It's fun jumping around in the grass and feeling the sun shine down on my face and the wind in my fur.  I haven't pottied on leash yet for her, but I do know that I should do all my business a fenced area so I do request one in my home.   I am kennel trained and I never potty in it.  I'm too smart for that!  I'm usually quiet in it too.  I know it's a safe spot when I need it too, though I prefer to be out hanging around my mom's feet instead.  When she's working I'm usually laying under her desk close to her in case she needs me.  You get treats there and pets haha!   I really like toys!  The soft ones are my favorite to chew on. I never had toys before rescue. I don't always like to share them, but I've learned mom will trade me for them and she'll gently play tug of war with me.     I haven't met any kids yet, but I think I'd be ok with older respectful kids who would be kind and gentle with me.  Fast movement and loud noises are overwhelming and I don't want to get scared and have to run and hide.  A quiet home where I can be a spoiled princess would be awesome.     Come and meet me and I promise you'll find that with a little time to learn that I'm safe and can trust you with my heart that you'll find a loving and loyal family member in me that will love you unconditionally! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared.  Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.  This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses .   Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue.   Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in th eir forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a    particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.     ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
