They are high energy puppies and are very loving. They want to play with everything... goats, cows, people, other dogs and cats (so non dog savvy cats would not be good with them). Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    I’m on the hunt for a very special loving home who is willing to work diligently with my confidence.  I’m extremely shy and am much braver on the outside than I am on the inside.  I love my kennel as I use it as my safe space.  When I feel nervous or unsure, I retreat there and hide. I’m very, very sweet and still learning all about receiving love and affection and I do like it!  I do enjoy hanging out with people but I also have a mischievous side when I think you’re not looking.  Away from home is hard for me.  I am so nervous and freeze with anxiety.  I will bolt if I get the chance.  So I will need a fenced yard as even leashes are new.  I am 99% potty training when on a schedule and am clearly crate trained, since that’s where I feel the most safe.  But I do know some commands like “sit, outside, go potty.” If you say “in” by my kennel, that’s when I know you want me to get inside.  So I’m super smart!  I would love to have another confident dog in my forever home to help me learn how to be a dog and teach me all the things.  You’ll find me to be loving, gentle, shy, sweet and absolutely precious.  But if you are patient enough to help me over my anxieties, I promise to reward you with all the love and affection you expect from a dog . *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared.  Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.  This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses .   Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue.   Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in th eir forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a    particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.     ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi I'm  Candycorn !  I'm a beautiful lady who came into rescue with some secret cargo in my tummy.  I was a good mama and raised my babies and sent them all on to new homes.  Now it's my turn!  With new people and in new places I'll admit I get nervous and I either find a safe corner to hide in or I'll possibly bark.  At home with my foster mama where I'm familiar with things I'm a completely different dog.  I have the bestest happy smile, my tail doesn't stop wagging and I get the cutest dance and zoomies.  I gently jump against my fosters mamas leg so she can give me hugs and kisses.  Sometimes I kiss back!  When she stops I gently put my paw on her arm so she knows I want more.  I also love when she gives me chin and cheek scratches and I should probably mention tummy rubs are great too.     I get along great with all dogs and like to chase and wrestle when they're my friends.  I would do best having a doggie sibling in my new home so they can help me learn the routine in my new home and help me be more confident.     At home I am learning to walk on leash.  It's going great since I trust my foster mom.  It's fun jumping around in the grass and feeling the sun shine down on my face and the wind in my fur.  I haven't pottied on leash yet for her, but I do know that I should do all my business a fenced area so I do request one in my home.   I am kennel trained and I never potty in it.  I'm too smart for that!  I'm usually quiet in it too.  I know it's a safe spot when I need it too, though I prefer to be out hanging around my mom's feet instead.  When she's working I'm usually laying under her desk close to her in case she needs me.  You get treats there and pets haha!   I really like toys!  The soft ones are my favorite to chew on. I never had toys before rescue. I don't always like to share them, but I've learned mom will trade me for them and she'll gently play tug of war with me.     I haven't met any kids yet, but I think I'd be ok with older respectful kids who would be kind and gentle with me.  Fast movement and loud noises are overwhelming and I don't want to get scared and have to run and hide.  A quiet home where I can be a spoiled princess would be awesome.     Come and meet me and I promise you'll find that with a little time to learn that I'm safe and can trust you with my heart that you'll find a loving and loyal family member in me that will love you unconditionally! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Story
Welcome Bluebell to CCPAL Rescue. She is an Golden Retriever/Shepherd mix is our best guess. She weighs about 65 pounds. She is 4 years old. She is pretty good on the leash and is very affectionate. She is definitely a people person and likes strangers. She has one blue eye and one golden brown eye. She has the feathering of the Golden Retriever. She is potty trained and she does good with other dogs. She likes car rides and she has some nice commands under her belt. She knows sit, down, stay and takes treats nicely. She is in a home with a wonderful family that now has to take care of their older mom with dementia. Bluebell is a little big and young for an older lady with dementia so Bluebell needs to find a better home that has time to spend with her walking, jogging and hiking. Bluebell is good with other dogs and she will make an active family a great companion. Her long legs would make her good at keeping stride with a jogger. She is not over the top active and likes to rest and be affectionate as well. She would be fine with a moderately active family. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older She is healthy and has had her year long heart guard shot. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi I'm Anya!  I'm a sweet little lady who is looking for a patient and loving family who will love me for who I am and help me continue to find out who I will become.  You see, when I first came into rescue I was terrified of people.  My foster mama took things slow to gain my trust and now I follow her around to see what she's doing. The look of fear I had is now happy and curious most of the time.  I'd do best in a quiet home with no kids.  Their sudden movements and noises would be too scary for me and I don't want to have to hide.  I want to be able to follow you around so I can see what you're doing.  I'm doing well with being held and gentle scratches from my foster mama.  I know I can trust her.  I will admit I sometimes still get overwhelmed when approached and might potty myself.  When she needs to pick me up she says ready and scoops in me close to her.  Oddly enough, I like being groomed.  I'm good in the tub, stay still when she towel dries me and I'm not scared of the hair dryer.  I even seem to enjoy being brushed.  Maybe I just like being pampered haha!  I haven't figured out toys though I watch others with them.  I do need a secure yard and I know I'm supposed to do my business out there. I'm still working on the potty training though. I do also need a confident doggie friend that I can follow so I can learn the routine in my new home. Don't worry because I'm smart and catch on pretty quick. When I'm with my doggie friends outside I'm like a totally different dog.  I'm all smiles and carefree and will wrestle and do zoomies with any dog.  My kennel is my safe place and I will pop in and out of it during the day.  If the door is closed I feel a bit more confident and will give a little huff like I'm saying this is my space.  Don't worry because I'm actually a gentle little lamb that wouldn't hurt a fly.  If you have room in your heart and are kind and patient and willing to help me continue my journey into becoming who I was meant to be, then I'll take a breath and do my best to be brave when we meet. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. A home with kids would be ideal for Jiffy as he absolutely LOVES playing with kids! He really enjoys chasing kids around in the yard and has really fun zoomies! As playful as he is he is just as much of a cuddler and will curl right up with you for a good nap!! Jiffy has been around senior cats and as much as he would love to run around and play with them they just keep to themselves. He tries to play with a senior dog but she gets tired quickly so another younger playful dog friend could also be a good companion fit!! Jiffy is truly a sweetheart with a very good temperament and is such a sociable little guy!!

Story
My name is Hazel, and it is time for me to find my family. When I was rescued, I was pregnant with a litter of puppies. I was a great Mama, but they have all found their own homes, and I would love to find mine. I have been to and fro and would love for some stability. Because of this, I am looking for a very special family that I can be sure of. I can be very shy initially, but I normally warm up within a day. I am doing well at going potty outside, but I will do better when on a schedule. I like to snuggle more than anything and am not overly active. Don't get me wrong, I like to play, but I'm not interested in hiking. I want to live the life of a cat but give the love of a dog. I am great with cats and dogs, but until I get used to them, I need to be watched with my food. All I want in life is to find that perfect family, and I hope that you find me soon.

Story
Hello, my name is Harley! I’m ALL puppy! I’m about 3 months old and almost 45#. I’m going to be a big boy!I love to go outside, sniff in the grass, and I’m always thrilled when I find a stick! I do well going potty outside too. At times, I forget to take care of ALL my business and may mess in the house, but that doesn’t happen very often, and I’m working on it. I’m not a fan of the stairs inside my foster home, but I have no problems using the ones outside because I get to go play in the yard. I do well in my kennel at night, have not messed in it, and when my foster parent is working from home, I just go in there and nap or play with my toys.I don’t know much about jumping up into a vehicle yet, but once I’m in, I do well on car rides. My resident dog isn’t a fan of me yet because she’s 8 ½ yrs. old and has been the only dog in their home, but I do try to play with her and am trying to win her over every chance I get. We’ve gone on little walks to the mailbox, and I do pretty well on the leash. I don’t pull but may lag behind a bit. I love when it’s time to eat but tend to eat too fast, so I’m working on slowing down. I have not been with any cats, or children, but there’s no reason they wouldn’t like me, I’m a big love bug!I love playing with and chewing on my toys. I’ve been super good at not chewing anything that isn’t mine. I really love to snuggle, I’m kind of goofy, as I have big paws to fill, and I LOVE naps (oh, and I snore a bit too, but I think it’s cute)! I have SO much love to offer and I can’t wait to meet you!! Would you like to be my new “fur-ever” home? --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Hi! My name is Kawasaki and I am a new Minnesota resident! I have been told that you guys have snow here, but so far the weather seems a lot like Alabama, hot and humid. I am very much looking forward to playing in snow!I am a bit of a shy girl, but warm up quickly. I am loving playing with my foster brother and checking out new smells in the yard. I also love playing ball and chewing on squeaky toys.I already know sit and come when called, but would be excited to learn more new tricks. I am told I am very treat motivated. In my spare time, I nap, chew on bones and find treats in a snuffle mat. Mostly, I just want to be near my human and my foster brother. If you adopt me, you can expect lots of cuddling! --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Hi, I’m Suzuki! I’m a sweet and playful puppy who loves to spread joy with my wagging tail and gentle cuddles. My favorite things to do are play with toys and snuggle up for cozy naps. I’m here to bring a smile to everyone I see and if you meet me, you will instantly fall in love with me!I am learning how to be crate trained and doing pretty well sleeping through the night. I’m also working on my potty training and I try to let people know when I have to go out. I love meeting new dogs and adore dogs I live with. I also treat my friend the cat with respect and space, although sometimes I like to try to pet him which my foster parents say is adorable. I’m a pretty lazy puppy and take long naps during the day, I’m told I’m one of the easiest puppies that has been here! I’m so excited to meet you and call you my family!!!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. This little lady had a rocky start, but with a little time and trust, she's blossomed into a loving companion. Well, as long as you're not a kid – they seem to give her the jitters! Tootsie's not one for the limelight; she's more of a backstage kind of pup. Her real passion lies in the company of her furry friends. Yep, Tootsie's all about the pups, not so much the humans. Tootsie's perfect match? A home that's as secure as Fort Knox, complete with a fenced yard over 4 feet tall – no leashes for this lady, thank you very much! She's got a thing about neck pressure; it's just not her style. What else does Tootsie need? A four-legged mentor to show her the ropes, a quiet environment to call her own, and a family who gets her – boundaries and all. If you're thinking of bringing Tootsie home, you'll need more than just love; you'll need a deep understanding of her unique needs. Tootsie's not your average pup, but for the right family, she's the missing piece to the puzzle.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
