Story
At just 5 months old, TictTac has quite a resume! Among her skills and experience, hse proudly lists the following qualifications: Sweet & Cuddly: She's a certified love bug with a strong endorsement from her foster family in this area. Prepare for snuggles! Outdoor Enthusiast: TicTac is an accomplished swimmer and has well-honed hiking skills (shout out to you outdoorsy types looking for a perfect companion). Excellent Social Skills: TicTac gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys meeting and forming relationships with new people- kids and adults alike. Quick Learner: TicTac will learn her roles and responsibilities quickly, and master new skills with lightning speed. She learned house training and sleeping through the night very easily and is at the ready to learn the skills she needs to be successful in your pack. References available upon request (and they're all glowing!) The adoption fee for this puppy is $475, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. A $250 spay/neuter deposit is required at time of adoption. This fee covers spay/neuter at one of PetConnect's preferred veterinary partners. If the adopter chooses to use their own veterinarian, the deposit will be returned with proof of sterilization. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. Story
My name is Milo Magoo and I am a 3 year old Golden Doodle with a birthday that is coming in the next few days… to turn 3 yrs. old.  I weigh 80 pounds and I am looking for an attentive and dog training family that will really shape and polish me to be the spectacular dog that I have the potential to be.  My current family really has no time to work with me to shape me in to a dog with great manners and emotional control.   I am bored in this home and I need physical and mental stimulation and fun challenges to do.  I am very happy, sweet, and very active with running and playing.  I am a male that is ALL BOY and if I had my wish I would say to adopt me if you have a girl dog in the family.   I would love to have a girlfriend for life!  When I am bored my favorite, yet dangerous, thing to do is eat socks.  So please watch that if you take me home.  It is totally out of boredom.   Critter Cavalry Rescue is tryng to change all this by placing me in the right home that they will review closely.   I am a silver tawny coloring and people just ohhhhh and ahhhhh over the color of my coat of  hair.  If you would like to adopt me please email right away at ccrnewengland@gmail.com Mention in the email where you live!!!   That helps so much too.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 19, 2024, 8:06 am

Story
Hello world!   I am so excited to tell you my story of being saved from a shelter that was under siege from parvo.  I survived and I was broken out of the shelter by Critter Cavalry Rescue after spending 4 weeks there and hoping to live through it all. My name is Bridgette and I am about 5 months old and weigh 28 pounds.  They say I have all sorts of breeds probably in my blood line.  They say I looks like a Golden Retriever mix or an Aussie mix or a little Chow or just the best of what God could create.  My foster mom just loves my confidence and my small size and stature but my BIG personality.  How big will I be when I grow up? Who knows except that my foster mom says I have enough cute and cuddles for any size.  I think I will be 40-45 pounds and the perfect size to fit in just about anywhere.  Since I have gotten out of the shelter, I am crate-trained, but still working on the housebreaking because I have NOT been out of the shelter for long. It means that I don’t mind being in my crate and usually keep it clean and dry. I might holler when you first put me in my crate but my foster mom says, don’t be fooled. I’ll settle down with a blanket and toy after a little while. I just have to get used to being without my brothers and sisters and get used to my new family.  You know things change all the time for us rescued dogs.   We go from so many situations while the shelters and the rescues are trying their best to get it all just right for us.  I sleep in my crate at night. I love mealtime! I also love to chase toys. If you get me settled on a blanket next to you, I love a good snuggle time. I’m ready. Come and get me! I am spayed and healthy and loveable and snuggable and I really need a place to belong.  Can you love pretty little me?  Bridgette the golden charm that will make your life so much better.  Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and ask for an application for me.  Tell them where you live please…city and state. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 19, 2024, 8:06 am

Story
We thank Northside Veterinary Clinic in Arlington for their generous sponsorship of Snoop Dog which means his adoption fee is WAIVED!! You can learn more about them at http://www.northsidevetclinic.com/index.html If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out our dog adoption questionnaire and e-mail any questions to: trailshomefarm@homewardtrails.org PLEASE VISIT THIS WEBSITE TO FIND THE ADOPTION QUESTIONNAIRE: http://www.homewardtrails.org/adopt-a-pet/adoption-forms/ LOCATION: Trails Home Farm, 2581 Winchester Rd, Delaplane, VA ADOPTION COORDINATOR: Trails Home Farm Staff HOW TO MEET THIS ANIMAL: Any dog at the Trails Home Farm or in foster require an appointment for any approved adopter to have a meet and greet. ADOPTION FEE: WAIVED! Meet Snoop Dog!! Snoop Dog has an amazing connection to people. He loves to be loved on but the poor thing is so insecure and feels you may take his food away from him so he truly doesn't want to be bothered while he eats. He suffers from resource guarding and the new adopter will need to continue training to help and provide patience and understanding while he deems something as his. Snoop Dog is SO smart and knows some really cool commands, like paw, speak, heal, and stay. He aims to please! He has not had a single accident in his kennel so he may be potty trained....BONUS! Poor Snoop suffered from separation anxiety in his previous foster home so he comes with a specific crate when he is adopted. Snoop will need someone to help him continue to improve with this. Due to his separation anxiety, Snoop is not suited for an apartment home. Snoop Dog is currently on a fish-based diet to help with some allergies. Snoop Dog may have some flaws but this should never prevent a dog from finding the perfect match. We know the right person is out there for him to take him out of the chaos of the shelter environment. Come meet Snoop and see for yourself how much love he has to offer. KNOWN WITH DOGS: Snoop Dog is dog selective and prefers to meet other dogs slowly on a walk before he's ready to engage in play. This may take some time. He likes to roughhouse when playing. Not dog park material. KNOWN WITH CATS: unknown KNOWN WITH KIDS: Snoop Dog would do best in an adult only home. KNOWN COMMANDS: Sit, down, paw, speak, heal, stay KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING &/OR CRATING: Snoop Dog has some separation anxiety that he struggles with but has been managed well with Trazadone, as needed. KNOWN LIKES: People and attention KNOWN DISLIKES: Kennel life. Others around while he is eating things. Snoop Dog has become a little depressed since being in the shelter. He is more than ready to find a home! We again thank Northside Veterinary Clinic in Arlington for their generous sponsorship of Snoop Dog which means his adoption fee is WAIVED!! This INCLUDES spay/neuter and microchip. **Ask me about our many adoption benefits that include free exams, pet insurance, training and other discounts! ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 45 lbs KNOWN WITH DOGS: Grace does well with other dogs. She plays with other dogs at the Homeward Trails Adoption Center and is considered a hard player who would do best (if there is another dog in the home) with someone who is active but confident about asserting their boundaries. KNOWN WITH CATS: We do not currently know how Grace is with cats. If that is needed, let us know and we'll work on getting that information! KNOWN WITH KIDS: Grace did okay with her previous owners' grandchildren, but we don't think living with small children permanently would be a good fit. KNOWN COMMANDS: Sit KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING &/OR CRATING: Grace is housebroken to our knowledge. KNOWN LIKES: People, treats and affection. KNOWN DISLIKES: Loud noises. ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Meet Grace, the spirited pup with a heart full of love and a zest for life that's sure to bring joy to any home. With an estimated weight of 45 lbs, Grace may be compact in size, but she's bursting with energy and affection. In the realm of canine companionship, Grace is a social butterfly, thriving in the company of other dogs at the Homeward Trails Adoption Center. However, her exuberant play style may require an owner who is active and confident in setting boundaries. With the right guidance, Grace is sure to make a wonderful playmate for a furry friend. Grace's list of likes is simple yet heartwarming - she thrives on the love and affection of her human companions, along with tasty treats to reward her good behavior. However, she does have a dislike for loud noises, so a calm and peaceful environment would suit her best. Despite her past challenges, including sensitivity at the vet and making a mess at home, Grace is ready to turn over a new leaf and find a loving forever family who can provide her with plenty of exercise, enrichment, and, most importantly, unconditional love. If you're seeking a loyal and energetic companion to join your home, look no further than Grace - she's waiting to steal your heart and become your steadfast furry friend for life.
