Story
Boogie Lookin' for a pooch that's the life of the party? Boogie's your guy! This 9 month-old Great Dane mix is a happy-go-lucky, playful pup who loves to have fun. With his large breed size, he needs a little extra room to roam, but he promises not to knock over any furniture (mostly). Already crate-trained and workin' on his leash skills, Boogie's a smarty pants who's ready to learn more tricks and bring joy to your life. Plus, he's up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered, so you can focus on playtime, not worry time. If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Story
Meet Maximus, a sweet Dane! He is about 18 months old and gets along with everyone and other dogs as well. Not sure with cats right now. Maximus was found on the interstate and was very lucky not to be hit. We have tried to locate his pet parents for weeks now, but have been unable. So we are now trying to find him a home filled with love and activity. Maximus is heart worm negative and all medical will be completed on 8/7! If interested please reach out. He really is a sweet boy!! RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the New England area and delivered in RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. To get a application please go to: saveapreciouspaw@gmail.com

Story
Annie is very loving, loves to go on walks. When she starts barking at other dogs just call her name, pull her leash and she will stop. She like a quite, peaceful home. She would be great with a senior citizen, but can also adapt with teens. She loves attention and being around people.

Story
Molly is an awesome girl. She is 22 months of amazing. Lots of energy, super sweet, super gentle, super snuggler, goofy, loves people and great in the car. She loves walks, hikes and car rides!. Also loves to hang out on the couch or play with her toys. She is crate trained but prefers the couch, non-destructive and not food protective. She is fully vetted, 125 lbs and healthy. She still is learning her manners, she is good on a leash but better on a no pull harness. She is still a puppy and large one at that. She needs someone with patience, Danes are sensitive but the best dogs ever. I adopted her from Michigan in December of 2023 as a companion for myself, family and our aging mastiff Marley. Unfortunately, Marley is dog aggressive and has gone after her. I have had to keep both dogs separate at all times and its really taking its toll. Molly loves other dogs but fears ours so it's not healthy for her long term. She is trained on the invisible fence. She is truly a great dog!!

Story
LOCAL TN ADOPTION ONLY. The good.....He is kennel trained. Goes in very easily with treats. Will run right in if a treat is thrown in there. Will bark for a few minutes but settles. If he’s in a crate, in a room alone and he hears a lot of commotion, he will bark. If you’ve left and the house is quiet, he’s quiet. He’s great in the kennel if someone is in the same room with him though. He likes being with his people. He happily snoozes in an open kennel during the day if you’re working from home and the kennel is near your work area.Scooby is a goof! There’s not much he takes too seriously. Besides treats. Treats are serious business! He will do just about anything for a treat. Even stuff he really doesn’t want to do. But treats are life. He’s overall an easy dog that is sweet, happy, cuddly and isn’t overly energetic. He loves playing and is a bulldozer but he relaxes and naps a lot too. He doesn’t require mass amounts of exercise. He is more than happy to lounge around in bed and watch tv with his humans. The bad...He snores. It’s not quiet...He hates small dogs, if your neighbor has one he will make it his life"s mission to eradicate it. He is generally good on a leash until aforementioned small dog walks up, then he will happily chill with you while you recover from your rotator cuff repair. LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY IN TN.The Adoption Fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Yes, dog saavy catsGood with kids: Yes, dog savvy childrenCrate trained: Yes (Pup settles quickly and quietly, accident free when crated)House Trained: Yes (No accidents in weeks or ever)A huge goofball with a heart of gold, Rocky is a big ball of love! Whether he is riding in the car or lazily chewing on a bone, this pup abounds with happiness.Any home ready and equipped for a large dog will work for Rocky. He enjoys playing with other dogs as much as he loves curling up with his people getting his soft ears rubbed. He has done very well and been gentle with children; because he could inadvertently knock over a toddler, older or dog savvy children are recommended. In his limited exposure to a cat, he learned from its swat/hiss combo and left it alone.Crate trained, Rocky will enter willingly with the allure of a treat or his meals. He is also fully house trained. While he walks well on a leash, his strength and propensity to pull should be taken into consideration.Larger than life in size as well as personality, Rocky is a handsome pup who will be an asset to any home! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application.August 20, 2024, 1:54 am
