Story
Schatzi – DOB 5/4/2014 spayed female. She was adopted from us in 2017. Her owner is ill and could no longer care for her. She is good with other dogs. She is a shy girl. She did well at grooming even though it took 5 washing to get her clean and then groomed out. The first photo is of her back in 2017. The second before she was groomed and the other of her now in her foster home. She would do well in a home with another dog or being spoiled as an only senior dog . Good with cats too. Please go to our website if you are interested in one of our dogs. It explains the process and has an application you can fill out there. . If it goes through you will get an email from nepyresq@gmail.com with the next steps of the process. http://www.nepyresq.org/page/adoption-process-guidelines-48.html

Story
BiBi is a fun, outgoing lady who is looking for a home of her own. She loves to go for walks and would love a yard to run around in where she can chase her toys. Bibi can be good at self entertaining, but will appreciate a family who enjoys being active with her! Once she is comfortable Bibi can be very snuggly and even has a history of being crate trained and potty trained! She has lived with a cat before and was very interested, but she could likely live with a dog savvy cat. Bibi seems to like dogs, but can be a little nervous meeting new canine friends so being the only dog or having a well matched dog friend might work for her!If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm – no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. Preparing your home for your new dog or puppy ahead of time can help ease the transition for your new pet and set you both up for success should there be a dog that’s a good match! To learn more about how to make the first few weeks with your new dog or puppy the most successful it can be, please visit www.mspca.org/petresources. For more information on our adoption process, please visit https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they’re interested in - and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.

Story
Apollo has been described by my friends and pet sitters as the most loving dog they’ve met. Easy going, lover of a good rub, great companion, obedient… Apollo has never let me down ❤️ For 8 years (he was 2 months when I adopted him) he has been my buddy and has followed me in many adventures. But this time, Apollo has not adjusted well to the new environment, and it got to the point that I need him to feel safe. From Moving from suburbs of Texas to a big city has been too much for him, and unfortunately I don’t have an option. Looking for a family or person who will give him the same or even more of the love I gave him. He will be forever in my heart, but I can’t be selfish.

Story
Adoption Bio for Matt   Meet Matt! This playful and happy-go-lucky puppy is ready to find his loving forever home.   About Matt:     •    Potty Training: Matt is kennel trained but still has occasional accidents in the house—he’s still learning as a young pup!     •    Dog Friendly: He gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, from small to very large. He’s playful and social with no issues.     •    Cat Compatibility: Matt hasn’t been exposed to cats, but we’re happy to discuss this further with potential adopters.     •    Kid Friendly: Great with kids and shows no issues around them.     •    Leash Skills: He walks on a leash but could use additional training as he grows.     •    Crate Training: Matt does great in a crate with no issues and feels secure there.     •    Car Rides: He can be a little squirmy in the car, so kenneling or holding him is recommended until he gets older.     •    Energy Level: As a typical puppy, he’s full of energy and loves to play until he wears himself out!     •    Barking: Matt will let you know when he needs to go out or when he’s having fun during playtime.   Personality: Matt is a sweet, playful pup who loves everyone he meets. He’s friendly, energetic, and ready to bring joy and laughter to his new home.   Ideal Home: Matt would thrive in an active home where he can get plenty of exercise, playtime, and ongoing training. A household with other playful dogs or children would be ideal, but he’d also do well as the star of the show.   If you’re ready to add this adorable, happy puppy to your family, apply to adopt Matt today!   is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (puppies under the age of 6 months may not be sterilized prior to adoption, if this is the case your adoption coordinator will discuss the process with you)  To adopt or learn more about: , you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, visit our website: WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM ** PLEASE READ: If a dog/puppy is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. In some cases this dog may be pending an adoption already, and their profile has not been updated yet. Please note, SPR does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated otherwise. All breeds listed are educated best estimates by transferring shelter staff, our volunteers or our vets. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them the All American MUTT.  Our dogs are rescued from various situations (kill-shelters, owner surrenders, strays, etc). It is most likely that both their parents were strays and mixes of some sort. If you are interested in this dog, you MUST submit an application. Sandy Paws Rescue does not a have a public shelter in Mass, so there is no building you can visit without an appointment. Our dogs live in private foster homes or boarding kennels down south until adopted, or in some cases in our very small private kennel facility on Martha's Vineyard and foster care homes through out MV, Cape Cod and other parts of MA. A large majority of our dogs are adopted/spoken for prior to transport and release from state mandated isolation. To learn more about our rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of FAQ’s on our website at WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM. **The FIRST step in adopting an animal from our rescue is to submit a completed adoption application. ##2238806##

Story
Dutchess is a Great Pyr mix. 1 yo spayed. 65 lbs. She is great with kids, dogs and cats. She is potty trained and even though she is deaf she likes music!!! This beautiful girl was adopted in Texas after being found in sweltering heat at just 2 months old. Sadly her owner was diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing rigorous treatment and couldn't keep her so they let her go live with a friend who was to care for her. This didn't work out so well as they were letting her wander. Because this girl is deaf, for her safety was taken into animal control. If you are the person who could give this wonderful girl her true forever apply today!!! Thank you for choosing rescue. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US BY EMAIL OR PHONE TO TELL US YOU ARE INTERESTED IN DUTCHESS. We are all volunteers and we cannot move forward without your application. If you would like to be considered to adopt DUTCHESS go to our website and fill out an application. www.sunnypawsrescue.org. Be sure you receive a confirmation email after submission and someone will be in touch promptly.
