Story
Benji is about a year and a half. He’s a good boy and is kid friendly but he does chase cats and he doesn’t always get along with other dogs (we have noticed it’s some male dogs). Benji is house trained and currently has a big yard to run in but when it is a challenge to walk him on a leash especially when other dogs are around because he starts to pull and bark. He is microchipped as well. We have to rehome him because I have an asthmatic child with bad allergies and as Benji got bigger, my child’s allergies seemed to get worse. We’re not asking for a big rehoming fee, we just want him to go to a home with someone who has time for him and a yard or is willing to be patient with him when walking him.

Story
Hi, my name is Zuri and my mom was accidentally let out and the neighbor's dog got with her. There were ten of us puppies born on May 10th, five females and five males. I'm 15 lbs. already. They think my Dad was a Great Pyrenees. We are all very sweet and we're each looking for our forever homes. We are true mutts, the best of all breeds. Apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp and someone will get right back to you with the next steps.

**Meet Ellie: Your Loyal Companion Awaits!** Ellie is a charming 4-year-old female Great Pyrenees with a heart full of love. She adores car rides, enjoys spending time with her family, and loves going on walks. While motorcycles aren't her favorite, Ellie is incredibly protective of the vehicles she rides in, ensuring they are safe and secure. This sweet girl thrives in a single-dog household where she can be the center of attention. Ellie isn't a working dog, but she has a special talent for making any couch or bed her cozy haven. If you're looking for a devoted and affectionate companion, Ellie is ready to fill your home with warmth and love.

Story
Eli is a very sweet but anxious dog. I have had him since he was 6 months old. He came from the National Pyrenees Rescue in Kentucky They did not, unfortunately, tell me the truth about some of his issues before I agreed to adopt him. He has improved since I've had him but he still needs a lot of work in terms of his getting used to new people. He is incredibly smart (almost too smart!) and strong willed. I initially got him because I've had two Pyrenees in the past but I got both of them when they were puppies from a breeder. I did not know that he was afraid of getting into a car and because he's 90 lbs and I'm not able to lift him myself into the car. He used to be terrified of even getting near the car but he has improved since my other dog loves car rides. He needs to be in a fenced in yard but he has also become adept at scaling gates! He has improved with new people but it usually takes about 3 or 4 times before he trusts someone. Then, he is very affectionate.

Story
Loki is an extremely friendly happy healthy young male Pyr. He lived in a home with two other large dogs and a 1 year old toddler. He welcomes guest with a happy greeting and hasn't met someone at the shelter who he does not like. He is fully house trained, loves to swim, and has shown no signs of aggression. He loves to be brushed. As typical with this breed, Loki is a large dog who will wander if not leashed or fenced in. His owners realized that they were not a good fit for him due to their lack of space and their inability to fence. He is truly a gentle giant. If interested in this handsome fella, please contact the Winchendon/Templeton Animal Control at (978)297-1212.
