Story
Joey and Katie came to the Sanctuary together and have always been together. Joey takes all of his cues from her. He is a timid boy which takes some time to get to know. Once he loves you he will follow you anywhere, as long as Katie does too. After working with him a couple of months we are able to walk him with the pack of dogs at the Sanctuary but he still needs vigilant supervision with them. He is good with Katie but doesn't seem to know how to interact with the others and can become agitated with them. Joey and Katie seem to have had little socialization outside of their own yard. A positive reinforcement trainer would be great to have on hand when adopting them. They do need adopted as a set currently. We were hoping to work on Joeys socialization skills enough that they could be separated but it hasn't worked out as so. Katie would do fine but we fear Joey would fall apart. They are both large teddy bear dogs and would do well in a large fenced area. They like to come in but as long as they don't get too hot or wet they like hanging out outside. If your interested in adopting Joey and Katie it will take multiple visits before they are comfortable with you enough to go home. To adopt them please go to www.libertyacresunited.com and submit your application. Their adoption fee together is $150. For more information you can call or text 765-969-4782 For more information on the animals available for adoption and more information on the Sanctuary please visit us a www.libertyacresunited.com and don't forget to follow us on Facebook

Story
**Meet Casey: The Playful Pyrenees** Casey is a beautiful two-year-old, 55lb Pyrenees rescued from a rural shelter in West Virginia. Shortly after her rescue, we discovered she was pregnant, and she has since given birth to three stunning puppies. Now that her puppies are weaned, Casey is ready for her own forever home. Casey has a fun and playful personality and loves putting on a show for her people. She could have been an excellent candidate for improv! She gets along wonderfully with all her doggie friends, whether big or small, and enjoys playing with them. In terms of training, Casey is doing exceptionally well. She has had no accidents in the home since her puppies were weaned. Casey prefers a carrier over a crate and walks decently on a leash. True to her Pyrenees nature, Casey loves her backyard and takes her duties seriously, ensuring everything is in order. Once she's fulfilled her guardian responsibilities, she delights in zooming around the yard with her fellow fur friends. If you're looking for a playful, loving, and loyal companion, Casey could be the perfect addition to your family. Casey is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $275.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet the Days of the Week litter! At 10 weeks, the boys weigh an average of 20lbs and will be big adult dogs ... guessing 60lbs+. They are low to medium energy puppies and after a good 10-minute romp, they will settle down and play with a toy. Each puppy entertains himself well and is independent. That is likely the Great Pyrenees in them! All are affectionate, with Tuesday and Friday more frequently requesting to be held. Their foster mom is teaching them not to jump, but to sit nicely when they want attention. Thursday will keep up with the more energetic puppies of the litter and run around but also entertain himself with a squeaky ball or dangling toy from a play system. He and his siblings are learning house training and that the crate is a safe/sleep space. Thursday is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $400.00.
