Story
We adopted Katana in 2017 from a shelter showing dogs at a Pet Smart in San Luis Obispo. She was a stay and turned into the shelter. We were told that she might be 2-3 yrs at time of adopting. She joined our family with another little dog with no problems. She is smart and quiet with little barking only when wanting inside. She enjoys dog parks, RVing, walks, and sleeping. She is house trained, travels well in cars and loves everyone she meets and loves children. She has experienced being a self taught therapy dog at a senior campus. She sits on command or when she expects a treat coming. She enjoys sitting outside while secured on a lead watching people go by in hopes of getting a pet. She would need to be in a fenced area or tied out as this breed will just wander off is their instinct.

Story
Calling all experienced Pyrenees lovers!! Gus McFloof may have a fluffy face and name but he’s a force to be reckoned with. He’s 140#, perfect with dogs, cats, birds/ any animal! BUT he steals. That’s right; he steals things off the kitchen counter then guards them with all 140lbs. It sounds funny… we laugh too… but trust us you won’t be laughing if it happens to you. SO, he needs a home willing to have strict rules and boundaries. He cannot be allowed in the kitchen; seriously. Two trainers have not been able to replicate the behavior to work on it; it’s like he knows… He’s otherwise fully trained. We will be strictly requiring Pyrenees breed experience and a fenced yard for Gus and he’s #notallowedinthekitchen All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   August 19, 2024, 10:55 pm

Story
Zumi is a big boy with big feelings. Once you get to know Zumi and he gets to know you, you will find him to be a hilarious goofball. He loves to eat sticks and play fetch with them (retrieval rate is maybe a 35% but hey, he's trying!) He is trained to use both a Halti head collar and a muzzle. He is actually really good at training in general! He has his favorite people here and he becomes a complete puppy when he sees them. Zumi's best feature is that he LOVES other dogs. He has never had an issue here with another dog. Even dogs who were trying to be negative with him, he would always meet them with a play bow or walking the other way to give them space. He is such a fantastic helper dog in our play groups. Zumi has issues with kids, and with strangers. It takes him a while to warm up to people, he was bred to protect and be a guard dog and on top of it was not socialized when young. He will need a home that understands this. A person who sees how perfectly loveable this guy is and has a quiet household or who is willing and able to manage his anxieties and guarding instincts. The payoff is huge, as you will have a giant protector who will make you laugh every single day.
